We all thought we were doing well

restructuring is always based on money.....bottom line. I heard campuses were not making their enrollment budget for the Oct start....LA, San Fran, NYC, the list goes on. And they missed it by a lot. This along with spending too much on other things usually a company will "restructure" or try to make up for the lost revenue by eliminating positions. There was also a hiring freeze for months.

Word is circulating that it wasn't a financial decision and only a "restructuring". Why would they need to restructure certain people or positions that were getting the job done?

SaE corporate based some decisions of expense and not value. They see employees as cost and not what they contribute to the organization. This layoff did not make sense

I'm glad they started getting rid of people at HQ.... But seems like the wrong people.

In July, Navitas took a plunge. Read about anticipated new business with more colleges in the US. http://www.theaustralian.com.au/business/companies/navitas-earnings-plunge-after-contract-loss/story-fn91v9q3-1227004019619?nk=b1be960cdcbfc0a5af633f4a4f643572

The Atlanta campus lost the marketing rep, a front desk guy that just started a month ago, 2 people in fin. aid and 1 high school ambassador (they had 2). Its sad that they got rid of the ambassadors because they never gave us a chance to show if we could impact the campus population. We didn't get a full school year.....they were expecting an instant impact but dummiesssssssss......high school kids don't graduate until May 2015!!!!! How can we impact a campus when you pull the plug months before any kids graduate. George sold this ambassador program hook line and sinker. He over promised, over spent and under trained us. It was like we were set up to fail. I left a job a year ago to work for SAE because they sold me on growth......I WAS LIED TOO!!!!!!

Which positions???? This is so unsettling. I've been with SAE for 7 years and this is by far the worst corporate group?

They should have laid off all the people at Miami HQ

Good people and some just started! No one saw this coming. There's talk about "outsourcing" positions to the Miami HQ. Way to ruin the personal touch of the schools!
