I am with BH, a question for Halliburton folks. Where do you see possible layoffs if Baker Hughes acquisition goes through. I think that there might be some consolidation on the corporate level (e.g., finance, marketing, communications/PR, etc.) but I am not sure how deep the cuts might be. Also, if we have folks who worked for both BH and Halliburton, how would you compare two cultures. Cheers!

We at Hal are just as worried. Hal bought Baker for certain business units and market share and we feel that is what they are after, and in those areas Baker has much more to offer.
the cuts will go everywhere especially in baker as halliburton management will want to have all their own people in the key positions however they will tell you al that this won't be the case and spin the value of baker employees etc but this will be a smokescreen - if you work for baker you should be very worried
