The computers are leased. The company CCI leases them from is getting them.

Carmella should have been fired too, since she was CIO when this was taking place, instead, she gets a promotion to run Online. Friggin' amazing...
The new consolidated call center was a massive technology spend and of course it was not designed or vetted properly which is why Riaan Kruger was fired You sure hit the nail on the head with that statement. eLoyalty is crap stacked on crap
Trust be told CCI lost their computer funding deal with HP and thus the decision was made to purchase the leased hardware for pennies on the dollar then delayed payment to HP. Money issues were prior to when the government delayed funding. The new consolidated call center was a massive technology spend and of course it was not designed or vetted properly which is why Riaan Kruger was fired as he was ultimately responsible for that fiasco. Then the brain child was born to bring lead-generation in-house which was another nightmare project.
Vista era computers still have a bit of value.
127 - you'd have to dump quite a few of the computers we have here to equal "packs of hundred dollar bills." I'm thinking maybe 1,000.
Yup I often throw packs of hundred dollar bills into the dumpster.
So, who's getting the computers? I guess the dumpster.
They WERE leased but the company decided to buy them in lieu of a lease refresh last spring to increase the company's net worth in assets. So imagine you've been leasing the same car for the last 8 years, driving it into the ground, because f*** it it's a leased car, and then after 8 years of irregular oil changes and burnouts you say, "Know what?? I'm buying this bitch." Those i2's/1GB were designed for Windows Vista and belong in a museum.
