Camden Kid, try reading the actual government document about the sale, and also try getting real information about a company you're trying to bash. They are taking over the schools that you have tried to put out of business for very long time. Can't you be happy for one day? ECMC does not "prey" on people, they hound you, if you don't pay your debts, just like a credit card collection. If you decide to not pay, you're going to be called by collection agency. Also perhaps you could get some more solid facts about what the debt forgiveness is once CCI closes, instead of mining these boards and Twitter as research. The government created most of this mess by trying to regulate instead of investigate when problems first arose in this industry. 90/10 was a guarantee that CCI was going to make a ton of money. You should probably familiarize yourself with the government financial aid rules, so when someone tells you they racked up $50,000 for a MA diploma, they are lying.
Prey? You mean collecting debt from debtors? How is that any worse than CCi's predatory admissions practices? ECMC is here to clean up the mess as best they can. Every dollar they collect is worth ten dollars in the US economy.

It seems like a no-lose situation for ECMC. They already have a poor reputation and have no problems preying upon those they are supposed to serve. Does anyone know about their political connections?
ECMC is going to struggle with this since it still doesn't help the education model and the self-selecting student population that is attracted to the Everest type schools.
If you think this is worse you are narrow minded and short sighted. This is actually better for our US economy as a whole. Less predatory loans and more money collected on the shitty loans already out there.
