When you save excel, word documents to your respective network share, notice how long it takes to actually save? Thats the DLP (Data Loss Prevention) software scanning it. Its been looking over your shoulder for alot longer than just recently. It also monitors alot of other network activity, so beware!!!
It is data loss prevention and has been around for a long time. They just activated it. It is used to make sure e-mails aren't sent with PII data like SSNs and other stuff.
Proves how retarded management and iT is at CCi, we all post from our phones or personal home computers. Another example of CCi wasting money. Blahahaha

That is incorrect. The applicaion is an upgrade to the network security. Other products are in use to track employee internet surfing habits as/when requested by the HR group. For sites that we dont want employyes to surf while on the clock or on company networks we simply block those websites.
