Thread regarding Corinthian Colleges Inc. layoffs

Dear ECMC - Please don't believe that this board reflects the majority of Corinthian Colleges. Most posters here are not even with CCi.

Those of us who believe in the service that we offer, and give the students all we've got, are excited about joining with you.

239, there are so many unemployed instructors in this country, they can fill all open classes next week. I'm not an idiot. But you can have your own opinion. I don't know why you care. You're merely a troll.

RE: 47211

You have got to be kidding. No one and I mean no one would say truthfully that an Everest Degree is equal even to the worst state college or community college. Business does not even recognize them as of any value. You would be better not having it as it shows businesses that you couldn't cut it at a real college and they don't want that type of employee. Can you get a job in spite of the degree, the answer is yes, but it is an up hill battle. Better you go to any state school. Government does value them for promotion, etc but that has always been a bad policy, government values ANY college degree for promotion, etc. It is why we have the type of government employees we do have.

SOCLE is a piece of shit and as soon as any interested party does due diligence and ask a campus about the service provided and deal over.

ECMC has no business attempting to run any school. Go collect debts like you have been trained to do!

219 once again, you are an idiot. The only employees of CCM that will lose their jobs after ECMC purchases those select Everest campuses will be the greedy, useless RDOA'S, RVP'S and all other upper CCI management. Which is a good thing. ALL CAMPUS BASED EMPLOYEES WILL BE RETAINED. ECMC doesn't have hundress of Instructors, Admissions Reps, FA Reps, DOA's, Presidents, DEANS waiting in the wings. You're just bitter you're not going to be part of it because you were deemed economically non viable to retain as an employee. Good luck searching for a new job and enjoy those crackers and water for dinner. Slob

Ummm, OP has it all wrong. Cci is NOT 'joining' anyone. We are being bought out (maybe). Most of us will lose our jobs immediately. For some it might take longer. In order to change a very bad corporate culture, you have to change practices, employees, etc. this silly sentiment is desperate at best. Sorry. But it's really time to get real. And who is really excited about their jobs anymore anyway? I think that ship has sailed.

ECMC is just a bunch of crooks. They are going to fire most of us. Hey OP, you and everyone of your kind here at CCi are a bunch of losers. Why do you think that this site is as fed up as it is. All we give our students is a bunch of debt that they can't pay. A degree or certificate from Everest is worthless except to the loan holder that wants their payment. Welcome aboard ECMC - go f yourself.

I disagree. The degrees at CCi are just as valuable as any degree at any nonprofit college or university. It is still up to the individual in combination with the economic jobs climate to capitalize on it.

What is given to the students is false hope and a worthless degree. Hard to get excited about...
