The OP was obviously not referring to upper management, he was referring to 90% of his fellow workers.
Didn't you walk in to a collapsing company? Those employees are not lazy but merely, down due to a company that is not saying anything to them and hold them accountable for grown folks enrolled in their classes. You just started, your morale will go down soon.
OP has a valid point. Don't think they hire hoodrats?? Just look at the composition of upper management. It's full of inbreeding: mothers and daughters, daughter-in-laws, son-in-laws. Lack of ethics runs in these families. They ran Everest to the ground.
