If ECMC wants some good advice, here it is. CCi is the most top-heavy company I've ever worked for. The way the career path works at Socle is (1) start really sucking up to anyone in management, (2) be admitted into the boys' club and be assigned 1-2 "workers" who report to you, (3) let them do all the work while you hang out with your buddies, and (4) feel free to be as abusive as you like since you're now in the club and untouchable. You think I'm joking but I'm not. You can cut payroll expenses by about 50% and still maintain all of the functionality. Us workers aren't aimless, insecure types who need someone to direct us. We've long gone without training, direction, leadership, etc. Just let us do our jobs!

Over 700 views?!? I've been coming here a few weeks and I don't believe I've seen that many. Of course, we have enough employees (and recent ex-employees) to account for that, and we all know there are loser trolls hanging out here (in the basement in old boxer shorts and with their guts hanging over - ewwwww!). Still, I'm wondering if there ARE ECMC folks dropping by here. That would be verrrryyyy interesting!
ECMC: That's actually some pretty good advice. You have an opportunity to make some deep cuts in expenses without a lot of impact on student services. It's like a minefield, though. The bad ones will lie and misdirect so the trick is to be savvy enough to figure out what's been going on. Then slice off the top few tiers and promote a few experienced floor workers to help your managers keep things running. It's almost run itself, though.
982: "Student debt possibilities"? If you mean Genesis, that's pretty much being put to bed and canceled out. If they're lying about wanting to be the largest non-profit college chain, what are their plans? Granted, they got us for peanuts, but we're also going to be expensive to maintain. That's why WE paid when we "sold" schools last year. They made their money off their partnership with ED and wouldn't want to screw that relationship be lying to them.
Christ how many jigs and wigs work at CCI. "Dope", "Bruh"..??? Seriously, ECMC does not want or value YOUR opinion on anything. They KNOW what they bought: A steaming pile of garbage that is infested by layers of incompetent and sketchy employees. They are "taking over" a "school" with the worst reputation, falling enrollments, and literally kept alive because of government charity. ECMC's primary purpose will be to cut operation costs substantially (layoffs) and then look to reduce pay for the remaining people. ECMC is not in the education business, they are subprime debt collectors. Given the extremely low price paid for the trash, I am also convinced ECMC doesn't truly care if it can make the "education" portion work. I am sure ECMC is happy with the student debt possibilities it just acquired...at fire sale prices.
I'm sure that all of this is the truth. However, do you really think that ECMC is going to take any of this seriously? Do you even think they read this website? These arguments can be said about any company. Here it sounds like whining. I would suggest waiting until ECMC takes over and make your thoughts known to them personally. If they are serious, a face-to-face meeting is 100 times more effective. However, on the other hand ECMC may not really care. We will just have to wait and see.
Dude bruh I just got word were getting ink toners and cartridges back for printing from Jacks vault.
Were SAVED!
I once saw Jesus walk on water, it was dope.
Keep the hope alive Jesus did.
Applause, well said. The boys club is so frustrating with the lies they feed us about their view of processing procedures. They will be shocked by this, but we CAN read and DO look up things in IFAP. We know that you cook the books to skew the numbers to earn your bonuses. Please see through all this ECMC, we don't need this top heavy management team.
What specifically are you doing in Brandon that is criminal?
I hope they are smart enough to get rid of TP in Brandon. Talk about top "heavy". This whole thing has been a joke. What CCI did and is doing is criminal to the students they supposedly were serving. And no I am not a disgruntled former employee.
Boys club, Untouchables with so called 'lead responsibilities' now they walk around like little Micro Mini-Me's that are hoping to get moved up when the sale happens. This would be a huge mistake as almost everyone that has been here for a long time is not in good trust with our students. Lies, Expectations lost and just bad service with no integrity what so ever. I have never seen so many leads, directors and VP's in all of my life and they still seem to have the need for 2-3 meetings a day. LOL
Don't forget you can't leave the campus for your 15 minute break :-)
679: Ooh, ooh! It's Big Daddy MH and he's got a wittle JL mini-me. I guess we don't see DS because he's Satan.
Hear, hear! I have three layers of management above me that I deal with, none of them knowing what THEY want, much less what all of the others are doing. It's amazing I get so much done. ECMC, come in and clear out the boys club and watch us just buzz along. They just get in our way!
Seriously, ECMC. There will be a ton of people looking to pull the wool over your eyes to save their own hides. This company has been mismanaged into the ground, and all of the unethical issues that came to light were the direct result of management wanting those techniques. CCi is infamous for "this can never be discussed in writing' phone calls and pressuring people to break the rules by not so subtly threatening their jobs. You're acquiring lots of knowledgeable, hardworking folks and a bunch of bad apples that have conveniently moved all of their kind into management to make them easier to identify. I'm leaving soon, but good luck and take care of the good ones - they're keepers!
655 -- Yes, and it would be this toon: http://insidetv.ew.com/2010/04/14/tbs-neighbors-from-hell/ (or is that one the 4th floor folks?)
Someone phrased it well on here last week. It's "Socle Never-Never Land." Seriously, I thought that the ground campuses were weird places to work (I've been at two before I was inducted as a Lost Boy), but DS and crew take the cake. If you made a reality show about this place it would have to be a toon.
At Socle it's more like a pyramid scheme.
It always amazes me how much education and experience we have at the lower tiers and how little we have in leadership.
