Layoffs are happening right now and will continue in 2015. I am not sure why we have no posts here but I want everyone to know that we are in the middle of layoffs.

My department went from 12 to 6 people. JAN 13, 2015
I was terminated from Schlumberger because of "cost cutting." If Schlumberger wanted to cut costs then the company should not have given bonuses to the CEO, presidents, and others in the company. My job is not only one of the lowest paying jobs in the company (computer operator), but operations is now understaffed because I was not the only on who was terminated in my department with the same job title. The last time Schlumberger did this, three months later, the CEO received over 15 million dollars as a bonus. With this plus the bonuses of others, the jobs of all those who were "layed off" could have been saved.
They have sold off several vessels, have admitted rig count is down, and will update in time.
I would expect cuts to be made by March's 2015 end when projects and hedging are worked out by clients and a better view is seen of 2015.
Analystis see SCH doing better then most of their competitors.
