South University, AIs in Miami, Houston and Atlanta receive placed on warning with SACS. What will this do to the company's plans to make AU and Ai a part of South under SACS accreditation?
SACS won't allow any substantive changes while a school is on warning. So attaching other campuses to SU or an AI may be out of the question. The warning is effective through December 2015. From the wording here, it appears that SACS found out about the financial situation from the news, That doesn't sound good!
What does working here or not have to do with the question at hand? You are right though, warnings are a just a formality--just like probation, and denial of accreditation, and DOJ investigations. Resort to assumptions and diversions if you need to. Many marketable ones have already left. And yes, we traded up. Good luck to you. I really do wish those who are still trying to a good job are able to find a much better situation very soon.
The shit hole that is EDMC along with ITT will be the next for profit to fail. Get off this sinking ship fast!
It means nothing. It is a formality that happens when a company that gets federal funds is under a restructure. Means absolutely nothing. If you don't want to work at EDMC, leave. And if you aren't marketable because of your experience here, look in the mirror to find who is at fault for that because it sure as hell isn't EDMC's fault.
I see your point 54221. It is a puzzle. I think some of us inferred that if EDMC was looking into it, SACS would not be particularly stringent with their accreditation criteria. That does not seem to be the case.
