CTI will get hit tomorrow. Technology will not get hit hard. They are trying not to touch technology.

Heard we should get hit on tomorrow about 80 people. Has anyone heard anything similar ?
so what do we see in our future?
Drug testing going on now at CTI.
Gentlemen, I think IT is mostly based overseas (likely in India, based on the accent I hear when I call SOLV). I cannot confirm who is responsible for implementing BHOS.
Umm, the technology at CTI is not IT. There may be IT workers there, but that is not what the original post was referring to. I think they are referring to the new products that are being developed, specifically for C&P. The technology that will need to be developed to keep operators happy once the market rebounds. Technology that Halliburton is buying us for. Not BHOS or any other IT related item.
Agreed %110. IT usually has been viewed as cost center and its projects rarely align with corporate strategies and objective. Just 2 cents from an executive member.
Is there any particular reason they are staying away from the tech? Tech is expensive and bloated with a number of projects that did not work out really well for us. I think this is a mistake. The IT folks are just here to support us in the field, and if that's the case, why keep them and cut folks in the filed. It really do not make sense.
