Question is that for members of Big Data project team, will they be laid off? Anyone know?

This is what's going to happen - HAL will take over, budget will get cut. They will cherry pick resources that are outstanding and are easy to work with. Everyone else is gone. You have skills, start looking now. Ask questions about HAL, if that group is strong and amiable, keep doing good job and they will assimilate you. Many variables are in play here, hard to say, I would start looking around if you have options, it's never fun to be acquired, I went through that 2 times in my 28 long IT career and it's emotional and stressful way too much. Good luck.
HAL already has a mature big data team and why do they need BHI's ... guessing 25% will probably survive for the integration and transition... thought?
I think this is a strategic project that's fully budgeted - I would not be concerned, but at the same time, with HAL taking over anything is possible. Also, I do not have to tell you, you guys are expensive so they might be looking at spend (I mean HAL will look at spend levels)
