I would have no argument about H1B if indeed the majority were better than locals (and I have worked with really sharp and talented foreign talent). But that is not the general case. And anyone who says otherwise is full of it. Outside of really good tech companies like Google or Amazon, it is all a mess.

Hah, nearly every US trained engineer or comp sci major I have interviewed at Citrix has been abysmal. Sadly, most US trained engineers just can't hold their own against their foreign counterparts. The biggest scam ever, all done to bring our wages down. They are not doing this to doctors and lawyers. They messed up our industry w/this and are bringing down quality standards. The game was invented by Microsoft, Cisco, Qualcomm and IBM, look how each of the players fared lately, they are protecting thir turf with minimal innovation and stagnant stock prices. They all gain in short term and lose long term. Nirvana, as they would say in India.
what this means is that they are replacing us, competent US educated developers with 3rd world peasants, therefore suppressing our wages, is what it means damn it!
Not sure what this means, everybody hired in our Santa Clara group in 2014 is from India. Don't know the particulars of their visas/citzenship however.
