Weatherford hiring?

Why is weatherford still hiring people when they are laying people off? People they are laying off are good hard workers?

In response to joblessjoe: I wouldn't say it is the nesting ground for people on their way down. People move back and forth between all the service companies all the time as each one has its own individual problems. I'm not defending upper management and execs, just stating that just because we have a lot of people from the competitors doesn't mean we are where everyone goes that gets kicked out of the other companies. It's more likely those people got fed up with the bureaucracy or the promise and outlook of the other companies and came to Weatherford like the rest of us thinking things would be different and better. From what I've seen on this site a lot of management has been let go too so it's not just us lower guys worried about jobs, it's management too.

Yes, Weatherford has done this for years. Weatherford is the nesting grounds for people on their way down. Most of our executives come from either Halliburton, Schlumberger , or Baker. This goes for managers as well.
