I lived those days. We worked around the clock and took guidance from above as well as from Hal Lyne and Ken Hearn. Hal and Ken were the trusted technical leaders and were the "Shining Light" at the end of the tunnel. Bill Emert had a heart transplant and stress pre-empted his great will. Gil tried hard but lost the battle to stress in June 1992. Al Ingalls (RIP) and I lunched occasionally and shared opinions and good advice from time to time. The loss of Ken in October was a shock. Amaro, Maher and Mullaney were a trip. There is so much more to this story that should be told. I had a very successful career managing Chaparral, Sidewinder 9H,L,M & P with D--k King & NWC. Sparrow was top heavy from the get-go when it was AIM-E and E-2. I came from NASA's Project Apollo at RCA. Let me.

Our department has hired a lot of engineers this year. Thus, will there be a layoff or VLO offered in the near future? It has been quiet as of late so I assume that nothing is in the works but I am not sure.

It found the Japanese workers did not take vacations and time off from work. With their strong culture for work It recommended that the workers are required to take vacations and the President agreed. You can faqll in love with the people of Japan.

The T train in the small town of Walpole is warming up with it`s running lights.For the past four years Raytheon Company has had declining revenue, One of the reasons for this decline is that the Board of Directors have not commited adequate funds for research and development for new products and services.The Board of Directors instead have a multi billion dollar stock repurchase plan to reduce the common shares outstanding to boast up the earnings per share due to declining revenue. Raytheon is only commiting two percent to research and development which is not adequate for the future technology required .Raytheon Board of Directors should change the business stragedy. With operating revenues declining operating cash flow may not be available with an expected contribution of two billion dollars to the defined pension plan over the next few years by law. In addition Raytheon has commited to the acquisition of WebSense a cyber defense company of $1.6 billion dollars. It does not believe this acquisition is a good fit with Raytheon government military culture, Raytheon will destroy the fabric of WebSense.At the end of Q1 2015 Raytheon is in debt $1.2 billion dollars.

Raytheon annual stockholders meeting is to be held in Crystall City on Thursday Raytheon President CEO Thomas Kennedy will probably say everything is fine. The start=up for the control systems went fine. During Its visit it was discovered the women Controller stole $125,000 using a scheme of a false supplier routing Raytheon disbursement checks to her personal bank account .It was not determined whether the Controller made payments to government officials, Raytheon Internal Audit was notified and communicated to the Board of Directors of the corruption. Raytheon Legal with the Board of Directors direction to the Plant General Manager was terminate the women Controller employment immediately and Raytheon would not take legal action.

Corruption, stealing, and theft is a problem in the United States and international countries worldwide. It`s opinion is that individuals do not learn from their family. religious faith and school teachers that corruption, stealing and theft is not an avenue to take in any circumstance.. It you got lucky to learn the American way. The T train in the small town of Walpole is warming up with its running lights, It was the spring of 1979 and It received a new assignment as a Raytheon auditor. The winter of 1979 It spent ten weeks in Philadelphia performing the review of Raytheon United Engineers a producer of nuclear reactors. Its spring and summer time new assignment was to review the appliance manufacturer Caloric in Topton, Pennsylvania which is about an hour drive from Allentown, Pennsylvania. It for the audit were auditors Joananne Guilfoyle and Peter Muddy both new to the staff with no accounting and finance experience. It was instructed by Audit Manager Joseph Amante to teach Joananne and Peter over the next five weeks of the scheduled audit review.

The location of Caloric in Topton,Pennsylvania is very rural with breath taking farm land scenery. Very remote the manufacturing plant raw material supplies were sourced by one railroad track Topton was a small tenantment town with row dwellings, one grocery store, one house of worship, a hardware store, one school, and one diner. What It can recall due to many electric shocks due to mental illness is that the employees of Caloric were very happy and proud of the products they manufactured, The employees of Caloric were not paid much money for their services and their were no unions, Caloric employees got what they had the hard way. Outside of work Caloric employees life centered with their family and practicing their religious faith openly. Caloric employees were very civic minded working in their community, As Raytheon auditors we were very safe and secure in Topton, Pennsylvania where we had our meals at Arnold and Mary diner for five weeks,Our free time on weekends was spent visiting local farms to learn. We did make one visit to Allentown to tour the Mack truck manufacturing facility It was an honor for It to meet the great people of Topton,Pennsylvania,

Robert Almeida and Don Moran instructed It to rap up the Switchcraft review in Skokie and preceed to book a flight on Saturday from Chicago to Iowa City to meet the founder of Amana Mr. Forrester and the employees of Amana. It responded to Robert Almeida and Don Moran maybe Internal Audit Manager Roby Cann or Internal Audit Manager Joseph Amante would be a better choice. Robert Almeida replied that Thomas Phillips has made plans for you and you will be the first Raytheon employee to visit Amana. As instructed It arrived by myself in Iowa City on Saturday and spent Saturday afternoon and Sunday site seeing the Iowa community. The Iowa community was full of houses of worship, schools , a community hosipital and many acres of farm land as far as the eye could see. On Monday It arrived at the Amana plant and was greeted by Mr.Forrester. In is office Mr.Forrester asked It how would like to handle the transition. Today I request you to issue a letter to all employees that the acquisition is completed and comfort any fears they may have about layoffs and reduced benefits will not happen. Mr Forrester said that was a good idea and he would issue the employee letter. Today, secondly It requested a letter issued to all customers and suppliers informing them the acquisition is complete and Raytheon wiil keep all commitments and promises that are maintained with Amana. Mr.Forrester agreed and added Amana employees, customers and suppliers will run with Raytheon now It did not ask any other request on the first day but It was provided a tour of the manufacturing plant on day one.

On day two of the visit It met with Mr.Forrester first thing in the morning and he requested what is next in the transition. It stated regretfully It needs a listing of all bank accounts with signing authority to integrated with Raytheon Company. Mr Forrester agreed. Secondly, It will work Amana Controller Mr Myers on the Raytheon standard accounting accounts so Amana financial results will roll up on a consolidated basis. Mr Forrester agreed. Over the next few days It worked on inventory records It will always remember the good people of Iowa and especially the Amana Colonies with great home style meals.

An alarming fact is that the United States health care system spends 295 billion dollars to treat stress related health care issues. As you can imagine there are many reasons causing the population of the United States having stress related health care issues. Some common reasons are students having too great an academic work load, single parents caring for children with a job as sole bread winner ,daughters and sons caring for elderly parents, parents with an impaired or handicap children, a job position where you are treated like a machine or just a number, household bills that far exceed your income, and a child that has a drug proplem . There are many more reasons that give an indidivual stress within life.

With permission of Raytheon President CEO Thomas Phillips It was allowed to take a break in the action to visit the shrines of Fathma and Majgorie the sites where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to the children. Both sites have flowers and more.It has been to all major battle grounds in the world except the Middle East for Thomas Phillips wanted It to learn and understand. The emotional feeling at a major battle ground is on of horror,pain and suffering. In contrast Its visit to Fathma and Majgorie emotional feeling is one of peace and joy.

Its has strong feelings against the Catholic church practices and teachings do not allow equal rights and roles to women in the Catholic church. If former Pope Paul,former Pope Benndict and current Pope Francis took the time to visit Fatma and Majgorie they would have a better understanding that God believes in equal rights and roles for women. Pope Francis its time now to change the practices and teachings of the Catholic church to recognize equal rights and roles for women.

The United States agreed to provide military assistance in the future for the GCC if required and a missile defense system to counter Iran missiles. Its assessment is that the summit was a failure for the summit did not address human rights issues in the Middle East, religious tolerance and women rights and equal roles. The Middle East Gulf States are planning to have summit with President Obama this week in Washington DC.It was the summer of 1980 and Ratheon Former President CEO Charles Adam, Raytheon President CEO Thomas Phillips and Raytheon Controller Arthur Schene and Raytheon Director Internal Audit Robert Almedia approved It travel to Paris France to do a five week review of Raytheon Middle East operations. This summer in France was very hot and It recalls that many Muslims had travelled to France to avoid the heat in the Middle East. In the hotel lobby of the Meridan Hotel muslim men had gaint pray beads to demonstrate their faith to God .It a Catholic had my rosary beads that were dwarfed compared to the muslim men gaint prayer beads.For this summit It is hoping all Middle East Gulf State partners have a good meeting in confidence and trust with faith in God that a peaceful solution to hatred and violence in the Arab community can end.

Electric shock treatments continued for the next two years as outpatient three times a week. The depression broke in April 1998 thanks to Cardinal Law activated the army Archdioses to pray for It for twenty-one days It`s rosary beads links turned to gold and the medallion of Mary turned gold except for a silver halo above her face,

It worked for the Salvation Army for one year as a volunteer to regain balance. It recovered after six years.

The program was now in the manufacturing process since January 1992. The program was to be completed in nineteen months was now projected to be complete in December 1992 with a production slip of five months. Due to cost overruns Raytheon Missile Division Management had placed this program under a red status with weekly reviews. As you can image the reviews were very heated The Navy customer was in every week asking for the Sparrow birds for the Navy fleet was at risk.

This October 1992 on a Saturday at work Sparrow Lead Engineer Kenny Hearn suffered a fatal heart attack at age 52 Kenny left a wife and two boys Kenny was so proud of his wife just receiving her nursing degree. Kenny was an expert winter skier. There was a large Catholic funeral in Burlington, Massachusetts Kenney was raised on Martha Vineyard and a graduate of the University of Massachusetts- Amherst. Kenny had a very stressfull position.at Raytheon Kenny was a young American.

Also, in the month of October 1992 Sparrow Japan Program Manager Bill Emient had heart failure with the notice of Kenny Hearns death

Bill and Kenny were best of friends where they worked long hours together Bill was 54 of age and was a young American.

The engineering design and development was completed slightly over budget. The supply chain material procurement had a favorable 4.5 percent purchase price variance. The primary cost driver now was the manufacturing process. Manufacturing was six months behind Raytheon Missile Division knew going into the program that Raytheon would lose two million dollars. Presently there was a loss of $300,000 on the engineering design and development. To save money all none essential employees were taken off the program. Computer models showed manufacturing could not improve with efficience to make up for the losses The program was given a red watch status by Raytheon Missile Division. Program reviews were done weekly.

In June 1992 Gill Magkian the Lowell Plant Sparrow Production Manager suffered a stroke at work parlizing the left side of his body. Greg Gardner Lowell Plant Sparrow Engineering Manager assumed Gil Magkian duties.

Also in June 1992 Dana Sarnvitz the Laboratory Financial Analyst passed away with a battle with cancer Dana was only 27 years of age leaving a wife and a family. Dana played a major role supporting Laboratory Engineer Fritz Olenberg and Laboratory Configuration and Data Management Engineer Mark Olenberg The Sparrow Program Office all attended Dana`s funeral

All meetings had accountability and responesability and action items had to be answered within twenty-four hours. The program was running red in losses due to having Laboratory Engineers providing manufacturing support to the production laborers. There was a language gap for the manufacturing girls could not read, write or speak English. Seven days of training provided the manufacturing girls had no positive result for there was no learning retension .The program had material kit preparation failure.. The customer the US Navy requested a special meeting for the Sparrow birds were needed now. Eight engineering slides and two financial slides were presented Raytheon commited that fourteen missiles would be delivered by May 1982 The Admiral was not happy. The engineering design and development had been complete within five months.The Sparrow missile is designed to be both an air to air and air and surface to air missile defense system. The engineering change for PIP is that you would have to imagine the ocean surface is a plane and the exorcist missile would be skimming twelve feet above the ocean surface and the Sparrow guidance seeker would have to identify the exorcist missile on the ocean plane to make an interception at above mach speed.

Driving from the Lowell Plant to the Dennis Picard office in Bedford, Massachusetts the administrator said It you can go in at 4:30 PM. In the office was Missile Division Andover Plant General Manager William Sanson and the BobCAT.Dennis Picard said good to see you 16510, Please sit. We received your weekly report where you have rated the Lowell Plant with a 2 out 10 for readiness.That is not good news, The manufacturing girls do not know how to read, write or speak English Raytheon will pay for seven days of training. Art drawings of the engineering hanging paper will be made in three languages The initial retro fit production will be a sixteen lot. After the sixteen lot completion we will run for the roses with full rate production16510 we will talk to you next week.

The exorcist missile would be sea skimming twelve feet off the ocean floor traveling at mach speed. Simulation tests of the gyros needed more design working by the engineers, Fourth the good news was the design and development of the fins and wings of the Sparrow missile was complete.

My wife, two year old son, and I moved within one week from California back to Massachusetts.The second day on the Sparrow program It traveled to the Lowell Manfacturing to request a plant tour and meet the players for It was in the Sparrow Program Office. Arriving at the Lowell facility at 6:30AM at the Plant Managers Office. I waited two-half hours outside his office for he had a meeting going on.When there was a break he allowed me to enter the meeting. There was Charles Mullaney Plant Manger Lowell Manufacturing, Roger Manlison Deputy and Assistant Plant Manager, Ronnie Marr Deputy Assistant Plant Manager and Don Amaro Lowell Plant Controller. It introduce myself to the group and Charles Mullaney the Plant manager told me we do not need any Program Office pukes in ou plant, Mullaney threw his shoe at me. We don`t need education and thought control It asked if It could make a phone call, It called Dennis Picard the President Missile Division and called back to Charles Mullaney Lowell Plant Manger to allow me access to the entire Plant with no obstruction, It took the tour that day.Lowell facility was a tough group of men and women where their language other other word was an F word. Research and Development it`s where it is happening. The T train in the small town of Walpole with running lights is warming up at 4:00AM, It was the spring of 1959 and my Father,Brother and Sisters were visiting from Natick our cousins in the small down of Needham .The Wright family was Andrea, Charlie,Walter and their parents Charlottet and Walter . The seven children were watching wild kingdom where Aunt Charlotte was still in her bathrobe with bright red lipstick and said she was going to take a warm bath to warm up on this cold spring day. Misfortune happened that day when Aunt Charlotte at age 33 took her bath where her organs explode from within for she had a little know disease called Lupus.that caused her death. It was a terrorify experience for the seven children in the home where the ages ranged from four to ten.Lupus generally strikes women where signs include being cold and red ruby cheeks and nose.

Since the fifties much progress in fighting diseases such as tuberlois,measels,mumps and chicken pox. Much more work needs to be done in fighting diseases by providing government tax credits to fight all illness and diseases

The BobCAT was the go to individual for aytheon President CEO Thonas Phillips and Senior Vice President Missile Division Dennis Picard. Tom and Dennis worked together on key issues and problems. The BobCAT said It there has been a terrible boating accident where Raytheon Semiconductor President Fran Down and his four engineering directors have been lost at sea in the Bermuda triangle off the coast of the San Fransisco coastline. Raytheon needs It to return for you are the only one with semiconductor experience where you spent three tours of audit at Raytheon Semiconductor, It you know the products and systems.Thomas Phillips and Dennis Picard have decided that an outsider to Raytheon Management would replace Fran Dowd as Raytheon Semiconductor President, Dave Deardorf from Fairchild would be the new President Ed Kelly the Raytheon SemiconductorController is not accepting the decision and will resign as Controller. As you know Raytheon is a engineering and science technology company. Tom and Dennis want business segments to be led by engineers and sciencetist, The BobCAT will meet It at Dinahs Shack in Palo Alto ,California at 1100 AM and introduce It to Ed Kelley the Controller, You are to listen in the meeting and not to speak other than say hello and goodbye for Ed Kelly is very bitter. Ed will not give you any help.It resigned the position at Anicon for they were all on drugs. The BobCAT gave me the position of General Accounting Manager. Unussual Tom and Dennis allowed Dave Deardorf the new President of Raytheon Semiconductor to choose a Controller of his choose outside Raytheon Oh Yeah that was a great mistake not to name a seasoned Raytheon Controller for the first time.It witnessed three years of pain.With operations in MountainView,California,Tepic,Mexico,Munich,Germany and Manilla,Phillipines many problems developed without a seasoned management team.Certain management problems occurred without good communication and approval Raytheon Corporate nte beloww:

(1) It`s trip to Tepic,Mexico the Raytheon Semiconductor new President approved a building expansion in Mexico without Thomas Phillips and Dennis Picard approval.

(2) It`s trip to Manilla, Phillipines a planned environmental treatment plant authorized by Thomas Phillips was not done as instructed by Tom,

(3) Employees were dumping cemical solutions into the fields of MountainView. Raytheon had to do an environmental clean up costing 10`s of millions dollars.

(4) There was corruption. The Phillipines Controller had to be fired for stealing.

At the MountainView location the Information Technology group falsified timecards and had non-existing employees.

(5) The Controller hired on the outside from Raytheon lied on his resume on his experiemce. The Controller was fired.

The BobCAT maded many visits from Lexington to fire many employees. It was decided by Thomas Phillips and Dennis Picard to sell Raytheon Semiconductor business..It learned that business needs to be honest for the best outcome.

Its a spring time sale! My first spring in the small town of Walpole the T train is warming up with running lights and the birds of spring can be heard, The T train reminds of former Raytheon President Thomas Phillips who signed Its travel authorization to visit many distant locations in America and throughout the world. Despite mental-illness birds have always flocked to my side in Natick as a paperboy, on the shores of New Zealand the Kiwi birds would run to It, under the canopy of the Grand Opera in Australia the gulls would sit with It, and at Saint Petersburg Square the pigions would sing to It. Where ever IT traveled in the world birds of a feather flocked to IT.

Raytheon Company sales revenue is down for the past four years. It is important that Raytheon Company continues to have honest sales and not temped to book dishonest sales. Raytheon Company has experience where certain individuals booked dishonest sales at Beechcraft Aviation and Patriot Missile Systems. It is better to conduct business with honest sales. It does not accept users of drugs in the work place or in the home. It was the summer of 1985 and I was starting a new job with a start-up company Anicon, a manufacturer of semiconductor chemical vapor disposition systems .A start-up with private investment funding the company moved me from Boulder,Colorado to the Silcon Valley of California.The company semiconductor chemical vapor system was top technology and state of the art by an engineer founder .What I learned in a matter of days is that the workforce where using none legal drugs such as cocain and marguana. The drug use was rampant on the production floor and in the administration and engineering offices. It could not recommend to management to stop the drug use because management were also drug users It decided to leave the company for a company on drugs was not a placed to be.The start-up Anicon failed within a year even though there was an excellent product,Drug use at work and home does not work. To win Its confidence and trust an individual needs to be special in action and deeds. With a three year absence a student at the University of Massachusetts I had returned as a freshman. In 1969 It had a nervous breakdown at age sixteen and spent twelve months in Bournewood hosipital having shock treatments three times a week. Off balance It was able to get a laborer job by Jefferson Contruction Company building low income housing in Worcester for two years hitchhiking up route nine each day.Saving money I the ability to pay for my education. I did not return to the dorms but selected a boarding house with no heat or hot water because Its money was tight It had a sleeping bag and a beach chair for my room. On one weekend Its older brother Michael visited It. It provided my Brother who had two sons at an early age a walking tour of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst very late in the day.Concluding the tour we went to the Blue Room to have a beer at the student center. On that day President Nixon gave his speech on the Watergate incident It was very disappointed in President Nixon behavior and ethical intergrityDefinitely a low point for America.It learned that intergrity within ones chacter is pivotable for all actions.
