Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Has Anyone Heard of Anybody Being Laid-Off Before Or Over The Holidays?

Did we jump the shark this year? Can we exhale yet? Or are they still sharpening the axe blade?

Good business model...keep changing people until "they" produce results. Of course, what is the root cause of the enrollment decline? Is it under-performing recruiters or the business model of depending for years on one income stream to the point of abuse and now the stream is being curtailed and there is no innovation or product that stands out in consumers' minds? In fact, there are less expensive and viable alternatives online to get a degree. At some point reputation and price really are factors...especially with millennials. The current demographic for the university is shrinking because it has been fished out and when there are walls of difficulty stopping its move to a new demographic, one thing is certain. It is a sinking ship unless it can innovate. The university has the rest of the world to court but unemployment is rampant and it is a toss of the dice. It may be the university is cutting itself into prosperity on the books only and looking for a buyer.

are on the sharpener this week and the guillotine and Grim Reaper will wet their blades in early January. This school will continue to lose enrollments all of 2015 and another 1500 will be cut over next year and the first half of 2016. If you are not at 'Meets' after two quarters, you will be cut and chucked, dumbasses.
