Thread regarding L-3 Communications Holdings Inc. layoffs

Not Motivated other than Long Lunch Times

I know L-3 CSE Camden. NJ STILL has a lot of over priced FULL but really part time workers in Finance/Contracts, ADM and BUS DEVELOPMT. Not sure why this is allowed to continue.

I had heard that current heads are at 700 with 500 likely in near future. Insiders still there say so. I left 7 years ago. Thank Moroni or Brent or the midget.

Hey Smart Guy what about the expensive Audit Group that generates "no added value."

Per Headhunters and HR folks (they know for sure).....if you are 40+ and over $85k/year and are staff level many companies since 2010 are doing a purge. When I heard this I was confused and said Age discrimination. This is terrible...even protected people are not safe.

Even Middle mangers over $100k-$125k+ are being look at/addressed..... Companies feel they could bring in cheaper and younger workers - nothing new. Its all service orgs....pricing, accounting, program control, scheduling, contracts.

Companies are looking for workers that can do a few of these functions simultaneously to keep them busy full time....rather than having more heads which mean greater expense. Its called lean and mean.

Hey I wouldn't say that the Finance people are "over priced." Nor the Contracts people. Certainly not the admins. Three out of four aint bad.
