Hi there,
I'm a 5 year associate, transferred recently to a new store. I was a DM over housewares for a year while I was finishing my Associates in Business Management ( the four previous years were spent in apparel/fitting room). I transferred into electronics because it was the only available position open, but now there are some fresh DM positions in our store. Management sees that I work hard and know I was formerly a DM and are trying to talk me into a DM deli position. I'm nervous to take it on because I feel like it would be a big change going from housewares to the deli, but I'm always eager to learn any part about the store.
I know my way around a texlon quite well, I consistently have customers come in for my service specifically, I'm up to date with most policies/ Walton beliefs/etc, my education gives me a background in time management skills and leadership, and I'm hoping to quickly advance farther in the company now that I've graduated.
Anywho, I'm just looking for some solid advice on how the deli is run, how to be extremely knowledgeable and clean, as well as any Walmart hacks that might make it easier to adjust to. Thank you in advance!
