For some reason there are more people in Pittsburgh worried about layoffs than in Phoenix. Why is that? Is there a difference in quality of life under devlin vs Traci? How do people in Phoenix feel about the impending layoffs? What kind if steps has management taken to assure employees?

If you work for EDMC you are the dumbass moron. That ship is sinking and you are hanging on like that turd you just can't shake from your ass after stiff legging if to the bowl after a big meat dinner.
What's worse.....not working for "that place" or being so pathetic that 4 years go by and you have nothing better to do with your life but follow what goes on there on a message board. Get a life and move on already. Scorned much??
I agree. If you still work for this place, you are the idiot. People who leave this place are SMASHING those who will live the EDMC pipe dream!
Personally I am just glad that I am not involved with any of these groups. SUO, AUO, EDMC. Leaving this place 4 years ago was the best decision EVER MADE. I'll let the remaining idiots fight over who is uglier. In the mean time, carry on people. This is really good entertainment!
Obviously you turd's have no clue what is going on. SUO PGH is smashing SUO PHX in every relevant category. New enrollments are higher. Continuing is higher, persistence is better. The solution is simple, shut up and dial and you have nothing to worry about.
EDMC is a shit company with incompetent boobs running it at all levels
Of course PIT is being told that PHX is better. That's how EDMC motivates people! I'll bet that if you talk to someone in PHX, they will say that they are told that PIT is performing better. When you hire incompetent managers, this is how they manage. At the end of the day just be smart enough to see the writing on the wall and make your own informed decision from there. Take it from someone who left, life is completely different outside of the EDMC bubble! And by different, I mean in a good way!
Just not performing (typo)

Pgh is being told "Phoenix is doing great and growing and pittsburgh is not. Pittsburgh used to be better but no we are just performing compared to them" in some type of way.

If a call center closes in PIT, people are trying to figure out what's next. In PHX, their next employer is right next door, or down the street, or in the next building.
The reason that people in PIT are more concerned than PHX is complex, but simple. First of all PHX is a very transient culture, where working in a call center is a more accepted practice. PHX is the land of call centers. Maybe major companies have call centers there, and staff bounce from one call center to another. They are used to the dog-eat-dog way of life and micro-managing culture that comes along with a call center. Not to sound rude, but this is not the case in PIT. People in PIT go to college, earn degrees, and are less subjected to call center environments. Call center life in PIT is not the norm. If people in PHX get laid off, there are 500+ other call centers where they can go to work.
Persistence is lower in OHE, accordingly, I could see it being scuttled.
Likely because Pittsburgh is strictly OHE. I'm convinced OHC is being targeted to close cuz it's a duplicate of the services every other campus already provides. Warm calls are down drastically in Pittsburgh too which is a direct result of a change in marketing to promote campuses over OHE. I am convinced their plan, long term is to close OHE all together.
