Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

How low can SLB go?

Yes, my view of this company is lower now than ever. Released from one of the Houston area locations yesterday. The low part is, I was 8 days short of being officially eligible for retirement (30+ years). No early retirement package offered, and no mention in the paperwork of showing to be eligible for retirement pension and retirement medical that I had been paying for over the past 10 years. No answer to phone calls to get clarification either.

Typically severance means they have to do things like ensure you are fully vested, etc ... But the other suggestion is right - use HR central

try the central HR I struggled to get through yesterday but I got through straight away today to sort out them getting me home (I'm British on a visa). Just make sure you put your GIN number in when it asks. Good luck.
