W.A.R.N. Act

How is SLB getting away with not adhering to the WARN notification act? Just google it.

The Federal Government issued a guidance on Jan. 2 2013 saying it is not necessary for Federal contractors to provide WARN Act notice to employees 60 days in advance of the potential layoffs.

Here's a link to WARN act explanation http://www.doleta.gov/programs/factsht/warn.htm It's going to be a waste of time chasing this as SLB has a very well-trained HR and legal department. They might entertain you but it won't end up in you favor. Good Luck!

The warn act has several loopholes and schlumberger has found them. Peace be unto everyone who has been layoff including myself.
