This is a master thread about Finisar layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Do you know there is a plan to grow headcount, how many employees currently work here? How about the HQ at Sunnyvale?

So, when will Finisar( Sherman)acknowledge the layoff of employees, right before the holidays?

I used to work there I left in 2017 on my own Did not have any issues I would recommend Finisar

I am working here in Sherman Texas we are having tons of problems with yield in this new fab. My honest opinion it doesn't look good. Allen will be moving here with the rest of the people who didn't go with the first couple waves. Apple is in here... —  read more

Somebody in an old thread ( @PLFlV5t-2Ufbg ) posted that some departments are about to be cut in Sunnyvale, however no additional info was provided. Any chance somebody else here knows more about this? Is it true and if it is, what departments are we... —  read more 

Are we going to cut any resources this year in Sunnyvale.

You need to be sharp, motivated and driven to succeed at Finisar. You also need to know that the business environment as of Aug 2010 is not good - The pay is also below average and the benefits average at best.
