Hertz U.K. is now the smallest of the ‘major’ U.K. rental fleets, and by some margin.

In fact there are now independent rental car co’s knocking in the door of overtaking Hertz by fleet size.

Let’s not mention profitability, because Hertz U.K. doesn’t make a profit, and hasn’t for years.

Then you see Hertz U.K. Car Sales hawking cars on LinkedIn (how undignified).

So I put two and two together and ask myself ‘why are so many layers of U.K. senior and middle management needed?’

Probably because these managers know that they are unemployable and would rather throw their colleagues under a bus than behave in an ethical way.

Well done Angela Brav and team - great oversight and strategy.

I wonder if the European Leadership feels any shame in the fact that their own corporation wants to turn them into a franchise operation?

Let’s be realistic - that’s basically saying that they don’t think you have the ability to run the business, and so they are going to give it to someone who can.

There’s no other way of looking at it - you have wasted millions of dollars on executive salaries and wanton cronyism, and completely forgotten what you are there to do.

So now they have started to send Americans over to dig into the problem (Jeff ‘find something for him to do over there before he breaks something else in America’ Adams and BB).

Maybe think about that when you’re posting #hertzproud and similar junk stories on LinkedIn? Basically you are incapable of running a business that is more than 100 years old.

Well done European leadership. Shame on you.
