restructured or forced out?

Follow your intuition- Don't be fooled by trolls who make sarcastic comments!
This is NOT FAKE NEWS! There are layoffs happening- call it restructuring or whatever! A SIGNIFICANT number of tenured employees over 45 of all genders were impacted. AND I know of several others who are STILL EMPLOYED are ALSO very impacted most are 45+ all genders etc #nodni. Many, Many, Many who remain will be forced out- GOOGLE HR/Legal term calls this managed termination. This type of action is unfortunately way tooo common. It's best described as when an employee in assigned to a role with unreasonable goals, earnings are reduced, they're micromanaged, etc until they finally "quit" on their own. In a restructuring and also at other times, employees may be offered restructured roles at reduced title, pay, or both. Whether forced out or restructured, these actions are usually done as a means for companies avoid wrongful termination suits, eliminate requirement for larger severance payments, and there's ZERO requirement for this demographic data to be included in age and gender statistics of terminated or WFR reporting. There are many ways this happens and unless an EEOC or other legal action is filed, there's zero consequence to the company. Remain aware- If you believe you are being managed out- look for an opportunity NOW. It's a HOT market- you deserve better! No snarky comments please. These are unfortunate times an additional hostility is just not necessary. Follow your intuition- Pivotal, RSA, Boomi, VMWare, EMC, no more.....only Dell remains.
