Note BP has 88k employees compared to EM at 60k, yet has have the production and half the product sales and essentially no chemical business. Reuters just announced Elliott is engaged to restructure BP. BP will be chopped in half, so there will be thousands of unemployed upstream and downstream folks looking for jobs in HC10, especially in West Hou. PS this means our salaries will be cut because pay for engineers and geologists will plummet when they do the salary surveys. Shell is similarly overstaffed (over 80 k employees and 1/3 smaller production than EM) and will cut, mostly in London and Hou. The only parts of Shell and Bp that are safe are the trading businesses.

Fawley and Port Jerome will be sold in 2025 (unless the White House and Elon Musk upsets the global Energy Sector). The Trump Administration has only been on the job for two weeks and the Administration is keeping our senior executives awake at night.

What is head count doing in the HC10 countries? Low cost countries like BTC, KL, Ba or Curitiba do not matter right now. because in 3 to 4 years AI will replace the menial work. EU headcount must be below 4k by now after exit from upstream in North Sea and refinery sales. Need to sell Mal and Aus upstream and sell Fife in scotland. Main thing is XOM needs a 30% cross the board reduction in executives that would cut 1000 high priced people. With projects slowing down, can probably cut 500 out of projects. Geoscience is still too large with non-Guyana exploration net wells at only 1 or 2 a year. Could get to 55 k employees in 2 years with the large number of new hires during the 1995 to 2001 period starting to turn 55 and no longer protected by NRE rules on PIP

Should drop below 60k, with Upstream and downstream sales, offset by Denbury and Pioneer. Sale of Nigeria JV will drop alot of employees
