DEG & 4 Wall ET Voluntary Enhanced SIPP Offer

How many will accept the enhanced severance offer? The form is to be signed and turned in by this Wednesday on 5/21. I know 2 ET’s who are within a targeted 35 mile area that sent theirs in GA, a couple more are considering. If enough don’t volunteer then I expect layoffs will follow to get their number, just like what happened to System Techs last quarter.

It finally happened! After a short delay, D3 Florida DEG techs were notified this evening that their Volunteer Severance Offer, (SIPP + $50k) was granted. Techs will be off payroll June 28th!!!

Shouldn’t be long because off payroll date is June 13 plus, they have to allow techs time to use their HO’s and DP days because only remaining vacation will be paid after leaving. I’m thinking, just like 1st qtr. if they don’t meet their goal then layoffs will be announced 2 days later.

Of the 2 DEG groups within 35 miles of me, at least 4 out of the 10 DEG techs signed up…we are patiently waiting to hear the word!!!

@128 I checked within one hour after receiving the offer. I stressed to benefits that it wasn’t an ESIPP or SIPP offer. All good. Submitted my acceptance a few hours later. Just waiting now for the company to make it official. Fingers crossed.

Make sure to check on healthcare and any other benefits because they stated, this is not SIPP but based off of the table. None of the normal SIPP rules apply, you are off payroll much sooner.

There is a spreadsheet with totals for both. Only thing leadership has to decide after the techs turned in their signed forms is, will they expand the numbers and areas. If they don’t meet the totals then a surplus will follow, like what happened with System Techs and Service Consultants in the first quarter.

@sc The “offer” was a poll. The number of those granted, if any, has not been told. I’m wondering if there were any of the submissions granted.

Way to go, people...take the offer and find a much more work friendly employer that knows how to drive a work force, not eliminate it!
