I was layed-off in 2021. Took some time off. Now I am doing some consulting for Cenovus. Apparently the facilities can only attract wet-behind-the-ears engineers still in diapers. So to recap … huge payout, retirement benefits, contract work.

Agreed, we were supposed to keep the best Husky employees. Look what we got in IT, Finance, Procurement, etc.
It is such a disappointment to see this sick corporate culture at Cenovus. Former Husky people at Cenovus is a heavy stone that been dragging company down the drain.
The dislike list from there is too long to list , everything about it was dysfunctional , from snitching coworkers to micromanaging managers to that sh-t program of work day , everything they rolled out was 2 steps backwards from where they were before , and it seemed if your iq was lower than average they promoted that donkey , good riddance won’t miss that place at all
