Just heard at least for CTO. If I get this new gig I'm in the running for, they can F off with 2 weeks notice if they require 3 days in the office.

Sure thing tough guy.
Anyone wanna pull up and come collaborate rq?
They need to get rid of people again.
"...pay $2 billion back to customers and pay a $1.7 billion civil penalty by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) for illegal activity involving auto loans, mortgages, and deposit accounts that impacted over 16 million accounts."
I am surprised anyone banks with these crooks - including their employees.
This company has been trying to enforce RTO for two years now. They change their position on it constantly with SVB actually stating at one of his meetings that they are now not enforcing RTO. Soon after that meeting, he denied it and went about his business like his lies didn't matter.
I am tired of the wishy-washy, so-called strategy of this company. One minute only the scrum teams need to be in the office; the next minute only the managers are required to be in the office. Now, their latest BS is that everyone is required to be in the office for three days every week.
I am guessing they decided that the attrition already happening wasn't cutting it. It is really hard to have any respect for any of the so-called leaders in this company. It was a mistake to ever hire CS and SVB. They are useless.
They can’t fire everyone … or can they.
I don’t plan on going into office at all.
Isn’t Covid, the flu, and RSV at a high right now? Is that being considered at all?
Good point. There is no written policy or acknowledgement of said policy, and guess what ER always asks for when corrective action starts? Mmmhmmm. No one cares about an approach. If it's a policy, ok, otherwise it's window dressing or intentionally trying to trick people into doing what you want, both of which are stupid and d-mb.
Notice how it's called "our approach" and not a policy. It's an idea, not an enforceable policy they can point to. If you get dinged, just ask HR if this was "approach" was applied equitably across the company.
Apparently someone doesn't notice the massive and unsustainable attrition in many groups across the company...
Ya'll will talk big but come January you'll be rolling into the office 3 days a week just like they tell you to do.
You're forgetting about the people that worked from home but didn't have a formal agreement to do so, just permission from their manager because it was obviously a waste of time to drive to a building.
Pre-pandemic 1% of all white collar job postings were fully remote. Now it’s 14%. BUT 50% of the applications are going to the 14% that are remote. Guess which companies are going to capture and retain the best talent? You’d think even CS can do that math….
The same scientists who told you that you’re a descendant of a monkey and the earth is a globe spinning around to collide someday also told you there’s an imaginary boogeyman in the air. Seed planted. Cue cognitive dissonance and abuser defense.

"..over 90% of the firm that never had two days home per week."
I'll take Made Up Stats That Are False for $1000, Alex.
Bye bye then OP. Hope you find something else
Three days in and two days home is flexibility. Just because it's not what you want doesn't me it isn't flexible. For all the whiners that were working from home full time, there is over 90% of the firm that never had two days home per week.
🍿🍿🍿 you think it’s bad now, wait til you’re sitting in traffic on day 1 reevaluating how you got to this moment.
Sitting in a specific chair is not a performance metric. Forcing a blanket 3 days per week in the office for every office position is just more proof of how disconnected this leadership team is with any form of actual management.
I stay here because of a good balance between pay, a job I enjoy and flexibility. But the pay and job are not so good that im willing to lose the flexibility.
Management needs to sh!t or get off the pot regarding this already. They look like spineless cucks because it's all talk and no action.
These fools are just here to collect paychecks, same as the employees they keep threatening. What a bunch of useless overhead.
Bu-by no one cares. I am sure you will be on the board for your new place whining about something else.
my boss said it this way: there is no more "RTO" - there's no returning - you're supposed to be in the office and that's the way it's been since it was announced earlier this year. (of course this is for groups that didn't get exceptions or delays like ops or mtg underwriting).
For 2022 managers are permitted to use noncompliance with RTO as a downgrade to performance rating and bonus. in my specific group we are not doing that, but in 2023 it will be part of performance and subject to the same processes as any other aspect of your work... I.e. first, documented conversations - then "warning" and then progression per the performance management policy - including that infamous phrase "up to and including termination".
Just like any other dimension of perf mgt, some groups will be better/worse at following the proscribed policy... but have no doubt, it is there.
Looks like we have more joining the pushback army. Might actually make some progress with ki----g this stupid policy next year. Fingers crossed that even half of the newbie returners have at least on te-----e to push back. Increase your boron, boys.
FRTO today, FRTO tomorrow, and FRTO forever.
