Subscription Revenue?

I was reading an interview with Farley, who said “We have half a million subscribers for software at Pro.”

I’m not sure what all the available “subscription services’ actually are, but found this:
Ford offers Viizr, a service tool that helps users digitize work quotes and invoices for $39/month. Okay, $39/month times 500,000 is $234 million.

There are about 260,000 “BlueCruise-equipped Ford and Lincoln vehicles on the road globally.” Best case we get $800/year from each. Maximum revenue $208 million.

The only other subscription product is Canopy Security, which apparently has zero subscribers because it doesn’t work as advertised. ADT, the partner in this, doesn’t know anything about it.

So total current subscription revenue appears to be:
Pro $234,000,000
Blue Cruise $208,000,000
Canopy Security $0 (CEO salary alone $1 million)
Total Subscription Revenue: $$442 Million.

How do we pay the interest on the $94,000,000,000 debt with subscription revenue?

Model e bonus should be based 100% on subscriptions revenue.

@3wjr+1r6UUJk8 By your logic, we could replace the $176B annual vehicle sales revenue with annual subscriptions of $83,000 from each of the 2 million people who used to buy vehicles from us…..

You must work in Model e.

The company can sell multiple subscriptions per vehicle. It is not a one subscription for one vehicle business model. That is what Model e software and data work is so important and key to revenue. With more features that customers want and pay for, the profit per vehicle skyrockets.

To replace the 2023 revenue from vehicle sales of $176B with subscription revenue at $800/yr requires over 220 million subscriptions…we sell less than 2 million vehicles globally annually.

Model e subscription sales team better be working overtime.

@1bii+1r6UUJk8 "People will have to pay a fee to use their heated seats. "

Fartley, is that you? Another stupid comment about an stupid idea. First of all, "people" are not forced to buy Ford vehicles. Therefore, they will NOT have to a pay a fee to use their heated seats, just switch brands.

Then we will have to deal with all the lawsuits related to this stupid statement. If I am the owner of the heated seats, why do I have to pay "rent"? If I am not the owner of the heated seats, and I am not paying the subscription, then Ford will have to reimburse me for the wear and tear, plus the fuel spent in moving those "heated seats" that are not mine and I don't want them (since I am not paying for those). Remember that more weight means more wear and tear, and a decrease in fuel effciency.

Who's paying to fix those "heated seats"? Moreover, what happens in an accident, when the "heated seats" need to be fixed? If the car is totaled, do insurance companies have to pay Ford for the "heated seats" part? What happens if there is a malfunction in the "heated seats" and it causes a crash or breaks something else?

The list of possibilities for lawsuits would be a lawyer's paradise. This stupid idea of subscriptions will bring more legal issues and expenses than what it will bring in revenue. It already makes Ford to spend 1000 times more than the paltry income from subscriptions.

It takes 26,250 Blue Cruise subscriptions at $800 per year just to pay Farley’s $21 million salary.

Model e subscription sales team better get busy !

BlueCruise has won accolades from across the media and is a leader in that technology. As for revenue, your math is only a point in time. Subscriptions are growing constantly, which means revenue is growing. Same goes for Ford Pro Fleet Management Software suite. Contrary to many in this forum, Ford is becoming a software oriented company.

Also, you may have heard of Model e's Gen-2 products on the horizon, they are not only mobility products but also will feature new and leading software/subscription services that will add to BlueCruise's successes.

Also, why do people keep bringing up Canopy when everyone knows why Canopy did not become the success it should have. Simply, if you take the leader (FLV) of the project out of the picture, you doom it to fail.

You are not imagining subscription revenue at full volume. Think of the aggregate!

Subscription services are going to be one of the pillars of FoMoCo as we step into the future.

People will have to pay a fee to use their heated seats. And if you live in a warm climate - you don't have to use them at all - that's a savings for loyal Ford customers!

Canopy Security must have some subscription revenue. The fee is only $14.99 per month. If you look at their X feed, their big marketing give away has 53 views. If all those ware subscribers, give credit for $9,500 in revenue.
