You sound like the HR manager that got upset when I pointed out that she only ever sent me resumes of from Brigham Young with 50% of the resume devoted to non job relevant church work.

Honeywell phoenix is the most bigoted place I've ever worked unless you are a white Mormon.
You have no idea the backroom fights I had to protect my other employees.

So how about we let people call themselves what ever they want, you can wear a cross on a necklass if you like, and we just rank everyone on their actual work? Or is that too unfair?

Honeywell has given you a great opportunity to save your job (assuming you want to be saved). Select “X” to become a protected class of employee and become immune to future layoffs. Honeywell constantly tells “X” employees how valuable “they” are :-).

All these emails saying "please don't use polarizing topics in the office" then they send out this Gender X email, October Pride Month, everything under the sun that is not Honeywell.

Of course we are going to complain about things that the company does that have nothing to do with making money. To improve our lowly positions we need the company to make enough money that the executives get more than they want and then we get the trickle down. Go away Karen.
