The entire "witeline/wireline" will soon be shifted the 3rd party vendors. Copper days are numbered and the sooner they get rid of it the better off they will be financially.

It is common, when someone has screwed up bigtime, to look for someone to point the finger at. In this case you’re blaming “ the unions “. Go get yourself a mirror fool.

The reason the stock price is dropping has nothing to do with the Union. It is Verizon debt, high interest rates, borrowing billions to buy VZW, 100 billion for 5G. Somehow it is the Unions fault. They didn't make those bad decisions.

Yes. But union employees cannot be RIFd. So only the Supervisors, Managers are RIFd as well as any "Individual Contributors" (if there are any left). They were already gutted, so there aren't many (if any) left to RIF.

What percentage of VZ management is Indian? > 50%? What percentage of RIFs have been Indian? 0%?

Unfortunately, the labour/craft contract should have never been renegotiated and emphatically not in advance -- because the macro and economical environment drastically changed for the worse. All the labour work should have been outsourced to 3rd party contractors.

The union will further demise this company to bankruptcy.

OP: yes, is the answer. However, the question you posed is d-mbfounded and boneheaded. Moving forward, and as in the recent past, the answer is always, YES, to RIFs. Yes, to wireline, wireless, corporate, and operations. And, most important, need to RIF, labour/craft, as soon as possible.

T-Mobile taking VZ market share, does not have union(s) for labour/craft.
