What shameful comment - talking about 'Economic warfare' to the citizens of a country who had nothing to do with the Russian leadership is akin to punishing the American Citizen for the war crimes committed by Bush/Cheney/Powell in Iraq on the lies of finding weapons of mass destruction!
More Iraqi's have died than Ukrainians so far - so Americans should just keep their traps shut!

No - not really - need to get the Russian economy to fail as quickly as possible so that the Ukrainian population is not put into mass Graves. The Russians are clearly targeting civilians randomly with unguided artillery from long distances. Economic warfare against Russia is a heck of alot less violet than what is happening to the innocent people of Ukraine. So no - it is not "equally merciless".
I despise everything about IBM and thrilled to be leaving. This company needs a complete overhaul. It's almost comical that everything they do is the exact opposite that a sane person would do. Ugh go to h*** IBM. I love seeing so many people leave and acting with their feet.

All IBMers over 50 have three months to relocate to Ukraine to fight the Russians. Choosing not to do this will be considered equivalent to resigning.

Don't worry, IBM is taking care of its Russian employees. I'm sure IBM will make clever business decisions to take market share where Accenture et. al. have left a vacuum. Oracle, Google, YouTube, Microsoft, Apple, Disney, Facebook, MasterCard, Visa ... all announcing sanctions. And here AK is proudly announcing IBM won't do anything unless forced to by the government.
Frankly, that disgusts me to no end. But it appears plenty on this board will be thrilled.

I wonder how many people here work for IBM, are retired from IBM, got laid off from IBM (should be the majority), or never did any of the 3. I suspect the majority have no connection to IBM - just a bunch of worthless troublemakers. Probably Russian.

It has many employees in both Ukraine and Russia (and China and Taiwan for that matter). Do you want the company to just abandon those employees in Russia?
Its one thing to not 'sell' to a country (like Apple iPhones), but it something else to cut off your employees, esp if those employees likely have little to do with a conflict.
Why are you surprised? THIS is the company you work for. Do you see any parallels?
