Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

Now or later layoff?

Waiting to be laid off as you know your site is closing is annoying. However, I'm now wondering if I should have more patience(slight gasp). 60 days then severance. It would seem better to not be looking for work during the holidays. I'd rather make that a new year, 2025 problem. Yes, it's terrible dealing with the constant flushing of my lob, but need to look at the bigger picture. I guess I'm going to stop hoping for it come happen soon and wish for a fall 🍁 surprise(grin). What a freaking mess.. Wells Fargo went from a dream career path 7 years ago to a big joke.

Upper management wants you to feel drained. They want you to quit so they don't have to pay you severance. You'll notice it only gets worse.

Your best bet is to form a union so that Wells Fargo will close the site and pay your severance.

Hold out for the severance, just start looking now. Don't give that little POS in the ivory tower what he wants. You've earned your severance.

@1cmg+1tpwVgXB - have you been told it is a “working” 60 day. I haven’t seen anyone have to work the 60 day period yet.

I am scheduled for sometime in the 3rd qtr also.

Yes, the waiting is tough. I’m being told that my 60 day working notification will start on July 23rd. So, I’ll be out by the end of Q3. It’s sad, but the good thing is that this horrible drawn-out process had made me ready to go.

The job market is terrible, speaking as someone that was laid off last August and still can’t find anything. Start looking asap and get a head start if you are expecting to be laid off.

Start looking for your next gig. You don’t have to take the first thing to come along, so hold out for your dream job.

Better to be looking when you have a job than when you’re just another laid-off desperado. You’ll come across better.
