I was just at the dealership service department and I overheard a tech tell a customer that the issue he brought the vehicle in for needed a new part because it was bent and poorly designed. Wow, that was brutally honest.

Yeah I'm the one who posted you can't have both DEI and meritocracy... got that phrase from Heather MacDonald who is excellent in documenting this stuff.... but that gets you called names by Bill and the board members and the cultural revolutionary oligarchs running the corporate world nowadays.
But to go a little deeper I think the intended effect of DEI is to divide us and destroy the American experiment.-not really intended to make us better. I'll check out the Stossel video.

They will be backtracking on this decision when the next-gen electrified Ford service vehicles are introduced. Not to worry about an isolated customer.

Interesting that research has shown that DEI has the opposite effect that it was ‘intended’. There is a temporary illusion of equality and inclusion, but it is only surface and resentments and segregation increases as one group tries to take all the spoils from another group.
John Stossel has a recent video on this on YouTube.

You can have diversity, equity, and inclusion or you can have meritocracy, productivity, and quality... buy you can't have both
