Recently applied to like 100 internal jobs. Finished all rounds of interviews for a few positions. I think they went well, just waiting to hear back. I haven't told my manager that I've applied or interviewed for any of these. Am I fu---d? Has anyone successfully applied, interviewed, and gotten an internal job?

Apparently many here have not kept up with the latest Ford policies. Your manager is no longer notified when you apply for a job! Try it!
internal postings are just a way for departments to cry for workers. They never get filled.
This is a total BS post. I’m glad the others have recognized it too.
This might just be me but applying for 100 internal jobs without discussing this with your management (LL6 or LL5) sounds like a (career) su----e mission.
I don’t think it matters how well you did on the interviews. Do you have to play the politics and get your LL4&LL6 on board with your applying. If you don’t then of course you go to number one on the cr-p list when you don’t tell your manager, by default, they get notified that you don’t like where you’re at, and you don’t care about your management. You expect support for that?
746 internal jobs directo mean that there are 100 you are qualified to apply for!
@OP your manager gets notified that you are applying. It is the Ford way.
Some managers will block / sabotage your efforts. Some will help you or at least not sabotage you. Posters on this board can’t guess what your manager is like.

I never said you need management approval to apply for a job, because you don't. What I did say was that your manager is immediately notified when you apply for a job.
@yeh+1plZmHgB there are quite literally 746 internal jobs currently available. is something wrong with you? the fact that you think someone would lie about this tells me something could be off
OP is full of cr-p. First there aren't 100 openings to apply to. 2nd, the first thing the hiring manager does is reach out to your current manager.
OP is a liar
@wzp+1plZmHgB what....? it literally specifically says in a check box you check for every job submission that you do not need your manager's approval to do so. Nowhere anywhere does it say my manager will be notified and that check box actually led me to believe the opposite. how am I supposed to know that and how does that make this a troll post?
I posted this on another thread, but it bears repeating ... the trolling on this site has become so amateur, it's not even mildly entertaining.
If you apply to an internal job posting, your manager is immediately notified. Saying you haven't notified your manager, means you don't really work at Ford.
Lateral moves require your mgmt approval. Without giving the respect to at least voice your intention to start looking reduces the chances your mgmt will be approving the move.
@mob+1plZmHgB Why do they even have internal jobs if this is the case? Also, why do I always hear that layoffs come from LL4+? If that's the case, why would my LL6's input matter?
Yep. You’re now #1 on your manager’s list for the next round of firings.
