Three hour wait times on employee benefit call line. Many calling to fix HR mess ups associated with her efforts to get older employees to leave. Why can’t they lay her off for incompetence?

Cobra is only available if laid off and good for approx two years. When on Cobra you do not speak toT benefits you speak and interact directly to the insurance provider,
True Story, last week could not find the answer I needed from HR 1-stop, so I called in- long wait times, requested a call back which I received 4+ hours later, no problem-simple request, "yes I can help you with that"..then hung up on me.
Santone and Stankey = worthless id--ts
No sympathy for those who waited until the last 2 weeks of December to retire and now have to wait to get support from HR. It was known this would be a slow period since workers at almost all companies take extended time off at the end of the year. You made a choice.
Firing for lack of performance is not what layoff means. Layoffs are used to downsize the workforce to match the available funds and available work. We would still need a Chief Resource Officer if Santone were gone.
The OP thinks she should be layed off. That’s why it’s on the board.
What this has to do with layoffs!
Just because the company can't afford decent HR doesn't mean it's failing. It for sure won't go bankrupt and lay people off on its way down.
My last interaction with Benefits in November, went smooth and I was successful with my request. Took less than 5 min to talk to a human.
AT&T continues to lower the bar on benefits and access to HR for answers to important questions. They expect all other companies to follow their lead in a race to the bottom on benefits offerings. Hopefully other companies will not follow AT&T's lead. Santone claims she is modifying T's benefit offering with what other companies are offering, bu-----t! If she had her way T employees would only receive a paycheck every two weeks, nothing more.
@1dxm+1ewGl3Gd You know not of which you speak. Somethings (like COBRA) can not be done until after you leave and you can only call the Benefits Center.
You waited until the last minute to get your benefits sorted out knowing you were planning on retiring and are now blaming HR for delays in service during the highest vacation period of the year for most firms? Take some accountability for your decision making.
On hold for over an hour and never got an answer. Just hung up.
Called back the next day and pressed 1 for a callback within 1.5 hours. That call never came.
Friday..I'm retired..
Good luck to you that are still employed at the new and improved ATT.
@etg+1ewGl3Gd same here, on hold over 90 minutes, finally got someone & couldn't understand the guy, he had to transfer me & I got disconnected. Fun times.
Go back to sleep Stankey.
HR usually just says to read your SPD because so much depends on which company hired you for each ATT job.
If you hadn't laid off all your developers, you'd know that this on hold experience is a feature, not a bug.
Stop posting this BS. Most of the time it’s recycled, stupid, unintelligent foolishness. And it’s not lost on the readers of the board that 99.9% of your posts have zero to do with layoffs. Your childish name calling is sad and pathetic. Do us all a favor and just cut the nonsense.
On a more positive note…..the board is monitoring this site more than in the past ……hopefully your personal vendetta against the company will be seen less and less……
Woah
You mean to tell me the phones might be busy during a holiday week which means less workers. More free time for employees to call
And during a mass resignation period.
I am shocked
HR at T is a joke, talk about a bunch of overpaid underachievers.
This company needs to be taken over by a competent firm that knows how to handle a large number of employees. The federal government is definitely not the answer!
To really even think at this point that T has a traditional HR department that is available to employees is a huge misunderstanding. That hasn't existed for over a decade. There are third party, lowest bidder companies staffed with overseas personnel. That's it. The execs like Santone are unnecessary. All you need is some lower levels managers to oversee the bidding process and communicate bad news re: benefit cuts and layoffs. That's it.
On hold for 1.5 hrs with benefits center and they disconnected the call.
I was one of the MR75 people targeted by the Stink this year and I had certain questions that needed to be answered by HR before I could decide if I was going to stay or go.
There was NEVER anyone that answered EVER from HR. My boss wanted an answer if I was staying or going. Finally my boss found an HR contact for our 8th level organization and she answered my question.
HR could not handle all the people that the Stink wacked this year with his great business decisions. And that number will only keep increasing. Happy 2022 @ Toxic T!
Stink must go!
BoD must go!
Blondie HR Ratbert must go!
Chow-Chow must go!
Poopin' Fresh must go!
Zucher must go!
The list is long...
