he's single, no kids, and he's probably walking the street in Thailand looking to have fun.

Meraki didn’t have any LRs just so you know @1ubw+1mKSV4Jg

Right and I’m sure you’re the 50 year old SE thats still pitching DNAC to customers thinking it’s the right solution which says a lot about you. @1edj+1mKSV4Jg

@1vhf+1mKSV4Jg Thinkng Meraki TSAs are smart says more about you than it does about them…they are known across the industry as a joke.

You guys realize that most Meraki TSAs were former Cisco SEs…

And also personally I’ve found the Meraki TSAs to be pretty damn smart.

@bqd+1mKSV4Jg To be fair Tony customers like that don’t need an SE. or Cisco for that matter.

I am Commercial SA in the East and our region is going away. Been told I will become virtual so assume that means C2E.

there's just no need for these SEs, SAs or whatever you call them now. Even a high school kid can deploy Merakis. Networking commoditized. I see more and more customers shifting to HPE/Aruba, Extreme Networks, Ubiquiti, Fortinet..

@eof+1mKSV4Jg it’s common. The Meraki folks just can’t cut it in the big time.

When Meraki became more ingrained into Cisco he started to enjoy working there less speaks volumes.

@sad+1mKSV4Jg Arista won’t hire as many SEs as Cisco. The fact that they sc--w partners over because they prefer to go direct will help increase their need for headcount, though. You just better be actually good to get a job there. Not someone out of the program, for example.

OK GO! I Have yet to meet an AM or SE that wasn't totally worthless anyway.

6 years at Cisco, he earned enough to pay cash for a house, travel the world and semi-retire.

I'd call that a success.

C2E is the new Cisco SE. I am in Enterprise and have been told by my SEM to expect to be a part of C2E in FY24. It is time to look at Arista seriously as there is no way I am going to work in C2E. Limits your pay while all the AMs make money. There is no real pre-sales engineering leadership any more.

Agreed, being a Meraki SE is very different. He’s just trying to get cachet by pretending he was good enough to be a real Cisco SE.

He was at Meraki not Cisco.

The “Cisco SE” is long gone. SEDs are no longer champions for the “Cisco SE”. SEDs have lost touch with who they are supposed to be leading.
