How many quit?

How many people do you think will quit over commission changes.

all you bootlickers saying “this is realistic. this is business.” no... it’s worker exploitation and corporate greed.

i promise you can stop licking that boot, you’ll be okay. maybe people will actually start to like you if you stopped white-knighting for a corporate monolith with no interest in Americans or their livelihoods?

The pay is just going to go down from here at this rate. They will raise the RIS target to 95 percent and raise quotas. Trash. They are really trying to polish a t–d.

: @1elg+15k1J7ek I don’t think anyone was surprised by the change just how drastic it is. The new structure will just produce clones that will have zero opportunity to grow and shine. It’s a glorified clerking job now with zero drive needed. Development went down the drain years ago but with this new way none is needed. Sick days will be more abused and maxed out then ever, multiple breaks and hanging out will increase and reps will just become as lazy as ever.

@1gji+15k1J7ek You need some clarification and a reality check. If you bought into the whole “ Verizon paid us through all of this including at risk they are so greatttttt” then you are a s—er. Verizon could have easily just furloughed a majority of the workers who in turn would have collected 100% unemployment as well as an additional $600 a week. So in most cases that would have been MORE money then simply paying us while out. Not to get too technical but Verizon will receive a major tax break as well as writing off a lot of the paid out money to employees during the pandemic closures . They did it this way because it will benefit them in the long run.

You act like this is a surprise. They have been trialing this for quite sometime in certain districts. Anyone who understands the business knew this was coming for a year or so. There will be more opportunity for all of you that want to keep individual commissions over in telesales.

Company had to eat some coin to prevent unrest. If there was no pandemic/social unrest. They were already planning this. Don’t be fooled. Most will make MORE money because they were under performers. Those who often took hours with customers for no reason, other than being lazy. A great customer experience does not require hours of sitting with a customer. Often no effort what-so-ever with smart setup. Scared and afraid to grow.

Verizon took the most opportunistic time to pull the plug on the individual commission structure. They know and want a certain percentage to leave so that more employees are working the new full and part time format. This will also ensure a crop of new hires that will have a smaller starting salary with zero expectations of any old commission and pay structure. Welcome to corporate America 2.0. !

Are you serious...they have done nothing but be amazing to us through this and now forget them...where is your loyalty to others. Straight selfish. These changes are awesome. And factual more people will make more money.

Exactly, where are you going to go work if you quit right now?

I don't know. Where would they go? T Mobile and Sprint are about to merge to I am betting on store closures and consoldation there (don't need a Sprint store and TMobile store next to each other.) AT&T has been closing stores or converting to indirect like Verizon. I am sure there are plenty of retail clerk jobs at Target and Walmart.
