Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

What does this say about Honeywell?

I'm not sure about other BUs, but where I am, attrition is so severe that even the least productive employees are moving on to what are supposedly better jobs. Just think about that for a moment. Those who contribute the least are seeking better opportunities elsewhere. What does that say about Honeywell?

Haven’t seen much attrition yet but once that MIP payout happens I’ll bet at least a wave of band 4’s will be heading out

@1evj+1rgefVDZ Oh come on, you are not the only one who has been here that long buddy. It has NEVER EVER been this bad. If you think this is the same company as even 5 years ago, let alone a decade back you have been living under a rock. Sorry.

So many predicting the demise of HW but it never happens. I worked there for 20 years.

There will always be people trying their best to prop up the sinking ship. Management knows this and has always used it to their advantage. It's these people that are carrying the rest.

The shyte that is being elevated or directly hired into senior positions now is beyond the pale. The most useless do-nothings, often with fabricated credentials and backgrounds, relying on bluster and political game-playing to fend off their critics. You really do sense the end-game is upon us when you see these type of dregs appearing regularly.

@oed+1rgefVDZ I can 1000% assure you VK has no desire to revive the company, that would require huge investment which would impact stock price and lose him the all important annual bonus. As the other poster mentions, his goal is to juice the business of what is left and try to grab a couple of bonuses for a very comfortable retirement.
DA extracted a spectacular amount of wealth out of Honeywell, VK is just mopping up what is left before it all implodes and inevitably gets broken up.

The overall caliber is dropping because the replacements are inferior.

I certainly hope that VK is truly interested in reviving Honeywell. DA, JW, and others have done so much damage to the Honeywell brand in pursuit of their extreme compensation that I am afraid that the Honeywell brand, along with the reputations of the companies that have been acquired, has been destroyed. I also need to add to that "the reputations of the employees of Honeywell". It seems that other employers have a distaste for Honeywell employees. We have all been tainted by Honeywell. I hope that those that are considering being acquired by Honeywell, take that in to account. If Honeywell buys your company, Honeywell will destroy it. How does that fit in to your long term reputation?

Honeywell is past the point of no return with the damage it has done to itself.
They will soon be out of all the tricks to keep artificially propping up the stock price, once that breaks it will be in free fall. DA has stripped most of the options so watch VK scrape the barrel to ensure he gets at least another or if he is super astute maybe two bonuses. He came in knowing it was a short game, if you have not figured out yet where this is going then good luck!
