Hans and exec leadership are going to make deep cuts to the portfolio and people. Do you think he will drastically shrink Verizon Business Group? It continues to decline year over year.

Let’s not pretend like we don’t all know what happened….Covid started, they bought blue jeans in a panic, hoping to slam customers with it. 90% of customers already had something in place, or if they didn’t, they were fine using the free version of zoom. Out of all our products and services BJ came in dead last for VBG….not even close. I would bet you that out of all the sales made, probably 90% of them were sold as a “I’ll save you $20 on your monthly bill and “you get Bluejeans!” I would be absolutely shocked if we didn’t completely sell this off and get rid of the staff. Anyone who says “BJ is a good product” is so far removed from sales and the competitive landscape it’s hilarious.
“99% of Bluejeans use is internal.”
Maybe from meetings INITIATED by employees, but customers are typically the ones to initiate meeting requests and then we join them on the platform they are using - Teams, WebEx, Zoom, anything.
Have never had a customer send us a Bluejeans invite, though.
Meta/ Facebook uses blue jeans. Not gonna comment on whether it was a good purchase. But anyone saying 99 percent of users are internal doesn't know what they are talking about.
@1ewx we all know webex isn’t free but if the majority of bluejeans users are internal and vz paid $500m for it in March 2020 and plowed another $100m or so plus into the product and a sales team then I would say webex is pretty cheap. I can see vz selling bluejeans off and using google meet.
You guys know webex isnt free right?
@1web+1jz9TZcb lol yeah just look at all that profit. Look I even used a great source

Ive used bluejeans with a few different drs because that is what they use for telehealth.
99% of blue jeans users are employees. No one outside the company uses this . So skinny jeans will be selling blue jeans for pennies on the dollar.
I believe I heard Business was cut in this last round ~10% of it's workforce.
They just shrank the business group. Next potential cuts will be to consumer pending the q4 results.
yahoo purchase was profitable. bluejeans is profitable.
you have no idea what you are talking about
Can’t see bluejeans being part of the long term portfolio and see vz selling it like yahoo for a loss. Verizon was too late to the game with this acquisition.
