Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Any layoff or all sorts of freezing news?

Now the Q2 has ended, are we going to be like 2022 where everything was put on hold and started laying off?

Another posting error made possible by voice typing. It should say,” they make up bogus meetings. In order to waste time so they don’t have to work. Everything they claim they talk about in the meetings. Never gets done.”

If you want your business to go out of business, or have record scrap and rework. Then hire Honeywell management. Where no qualifications are needed or schooling andyou wonder why Honeywell’s run the way it is.

What is the time I see these people going to meet up meetings, walking around eating food in the vending machines, and sitting outside during a smoke back break. So then I have to work, and their smoke breaks are like 3 to 4 hours a day.

Its going to be rather confusing for many of us to grasp of layoffs where order books are filled and facing billions in past dues. Customers getting irritated about them not getting their parts but able to accept the same excuse for months which is lack of manpower just like whats faced by our customers and every other company around. With that, it will be just bad response to layoff people where its been our best excuse for a lacklustre performance seen so far.

@nja+1nrEKQyr What an id1otic comment. I don't know a single person who was layed off from Honeywell have their career destroyed.
In fact majority made a huge career jump straight after!

@1fyd+1nrEKQyr What division would that be then? Certainly not one of the three I work with, and is that 'record' sales on just higher than last year which was a bad year already. Either way it ain't gonna stop the chop.

Not sure which unit you are in but things are looking up in SPS. Record sales compared to last year at this time.

Very quiet in aero as well. Best guess is that the people shuffle at top is not done.
Meanwhile... nobody paying the bills.. LITERALLY had a vendor call yesterday demanding net zero terms. No credit for big H.

H-1B fraud consultancies grow, with application abuse openly discussed online

https://www.theregister.com/2023/07/01/h1b_fraud/?td=keepreading

Technology companies rely on the program to bring foreign workers into America, ostensibly to fill positions for which US-based workers cannot be found. The firms that sponsor and import H-1B workers may also appreciate being able to hire people at below-market wages as well as the barriers that make it difficult for H-1B workers to change jobs or unionize.

@lpy
Then go! Why are you waiting for a layoff? Layoffs can carry a negative connotation that can destroy your career.

It is spooky quiet at the moment in our team so no idea. The only metric I can go by is how well projects are going and how stable the business is, in our group the projects are still going to cr@p and the rest of the business is as bad as ever. Our director puts on the same fake facade rain or shine so no clue there other than he hides in his office more than ever. I hear little bits of gossip but nothing substantial, usually you can sense things are not right but we have had a bad feeling since November last year.
Certainly I can say nothing has improved this year, I wonder if it is the same with other teams in SPS?
I do not want to ID myself but I am not in Intelligrated, I know things are bad there even more than us.

I'm hoping so. Am ready to move on to the next part of my life. It seems that I'm too valuable to let go but not valuable enough to pay more to.
