Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

No reason to try to hold on to this job

I’m not willing to relocate, then lose the job anyway in a short time from now. We have a constant stream of layoffs, and upper mgmt does not inspire trust nor demonstrate any competence. I have no reason to believe that the situation will improve, nor that this bank will ever become a desirable workplace. No compensation is worth this cr-p.

I am laughing pretty hard at the @1gcy+1t7LH8nF post ' -- "They (ex-JPM) know how to work with offshore workers -- delegating, communicating, controlling." Uhh, yeah... OK, but no evidence this is true, unless it is Executive level, whereupon you blame the Underlings.

They (ex-JPM) know how to work with offshore workers -- delegating, communicating, controlling. They are also trained in global banking controls such as Basel etc. These managers are hired because they are believed to have been better managed (by JD).

For some cult-ish reason Wells Fargo executives and HR seem be enamored and moon-eyed over anyone with JPMorgan Chase anywhere on their resume -- you could be the F-U-C-K-I-N-G incompetent, corrupt or barely breathing -- and Wells Fargo would want you badly.

I am terrified about getting laid off and not having a steady paycheck, all that uncertainty about the future.

Yet funny enough, the certain future of staying at WF is way more terrifying.

Humans live such short lives. While toiling at WF, we all know there is an infinite universe of infinite possibilities out there.

Release me from your clutches WF, cut me severance and let me experience the frustrations and joys of another life to live.

Don't worry, they'll take those things away next.

If you are a person who cares about career growth, this is not the place for you. It is a place with a decent paycheck and benefits, but anyone who wants career growth should factor this in before relocating.

It’s really hard to imagine relocating for a company that is stagnant and (insert all other aspersions here).
