IBM preaches open, hybrid cloud. Migrating a service on AWS to an open, hybrid, portable solution (OpenShift) seems like a perfect match for IBM’s strategy. This couldn’t be a more perfect opportunity for IBM. If they don’t capitalize off of it, then they deserve to lose the Cloud war. Get woke go broke.

IBM better be picking up all the business that’s being silenced or we should be draining our swamp.

@1hch The minute we try to pick up any of that the progressives will whine non stop as they always do and shame AK into not pursuing further. Haven’t you seen the questions for his monthly AMAs? Always the same SJW folks guilting why we are not greener, not hiring by skin color/gender quotas, etc. In this most recent one I even saw a guy try to guilt him into adding pronouns to be more “inclusive”. I’m all for us hosting the recently deplatformed but reality suggests it woken’t happen. Yay progress or something.

I agree with the last post. IBM has a real shot at FS Cloud.

IBM's only hope is to get this Financial Cloud right. That field is still available to conquer as non of the cloud providers satisfy the extreme compliance regulations. AWS is also trying to tap into the banking industry and recently secured a deal.
