Well we were all laughing or a$$es off when PB got spanked at the last analyst call. He had his pants pulled down as he was exposed for the empty suit that he has always been.

Do better PB!

@fao, Do you think it’s pretty bold of him to host a celebration for his own departure? Don’t be deceived. This PB fella is a narcissist and won’t miss the chance for as many people to show up to kiss his ring finger one last time. Good riddance and “Do Better” somewhere else, just not here anymore.

I'm sure PB would be laughing his A.O. if he read posts from miserable disgruntled losers who still have to pretend that they're working as they play all day on sites like this. That's of course not likely, he probably has better things to do.

Looks like Pillow Biter sent the downvote squad out.

No, I don’t think so @1iir. Neither was the Chevron corporate office trying to cover for him. This is PB’s (aka Peanut Butter’s) way of flying off the rails sometimes. This outburst in his email was just a bridge too far. So long, Peanut Butter, no one is able to excuse you out from this one. Bye Bye. Take your silly plaque and exit stage left. You won’t be missed.

The email was not a scandal. The email was “leaked” to the media intentionally to show the Wall Street analysts that Chevron executives are cracking the whip.

“Attempting to control damage from the incident, Chevron provided an emailed statement, asserting that the communication was an internal message aimed at urging continued focus on performance improvement. The company clarified that it did not issue an update to the guidance provided during the third-quarter 2023 earnings conference call.”

MW was reluctant but approved the celebration as a way for PB to end on a high note rather than slinking away after the email scandal which was reported in national news outlets.

Oh yeah, I plan to attend PB’s retirement celebration. I will be gifting him a framed memoir of his “Do Better” email. He can hang it on his wall or set it on the corner of his desk at home. Every time he looks at it, instead of reminiscing over his career accomplishments, he will remember the one career mistake that ended it.

@jfz, I am not sure I totally agree with you there. Most people care about their legacy. PB probably just doesn't realize how much he is despised.

PB doesn't care what we think or write about him. He's laughing all the way to the bank.

Pierre, you became an Executive VP in 2014. Since then, Chevron went from a wonderful company to a toxic pit of endless losses. You will not be missed. Have a bad day and Do Better!

Good riddance, PB. You won’t be missed around here. I hope you “Do Better” in retirement.

After being passed over for CEO, he had the opportunity to be CEO elsewhere but stuck it out in true Chevron fashion to the bitter end, then stumbled just before the finish line with that disastrous angry email. Sad.

Maybe if he Did Better he would still have a job instead of being replaced by a lady engineer.

"Do better" PB, you did not do well in Chevrin, hope you do better outside Chevron, look in the mirror and don't blame anyone for your failure!
