Going to happen March 1st it has been confirmed by several DM and Directors. Get out now no severance just layoffs going to hit also stores with hours 11-7 will be closed Sunday starting 3/15. That has been confirmed by retail ops rep in WI

@1jfj, I have seen reqs open to fill positions at stores and the store get closed down, same as corporate jobs, call center jobs posted and a month later the call center is gone. An open req means nothing!

Not true at all, my store just posted a req for an SM spot in WI. Finance would not approve hiring an SM if a lay-off is incoming
Too bad now now it’s all downhill. SMS are the ones keeping these stores alive. As well as Gms. For those that say do nothing are the ones doing nothing. Lazy solution specialists are the reason why there’s so many cuts. Not like the old school reps who use to put in a lot of work.
I think they mean get out now as in start looking for a new job now. Its always easier to get another job when you are currently employeed. You know, be proactive? Instead of sitting there and waiting to be victimized by Verizon.
However, I don't believe the no severance part Verizon has not changed their severance policy.
In NYM we still have enough volume for the store hours to remain the same, especially on Sunday's. The SMs are another story, the stores are open too many hours to get rid of one of the do nothing's , However, the reps that are leaving are being replaced by part timers, maybe the should start hiring part time SMs because that's about how much time they actually do something!
This isn’t true. They are hiring sms up in Great Lakes. If there was a cut coming finance would not approve new reqs.
Lol, why get out now? What is the benefit of that? Will something else happen to you besides losing your job if you dont? Like maybe you will lose an arm or grow hair on your tongue or something?
