Ignore the debt, get back to work and make investors some money.

Yay, get to whine about Randall again.

We wish for the day when Randell can be a distant footnote in AT&T history, yet his "wise" guidance continues to have effects today. A few hundred Billion of debt doesn't just pay it self off.

Yes there was accountability. It was all fault of those 50,000 employees who lost their jobs because of the sociopath(s) at the top.

It’s obvious that Randy and John didn’t do the “Ask Yourself “ training.

When it is all said and done… and ATT is no more… folks will know that Randall and Stankey and Stevens surrounded themselves with sycophants who ignored the facts and ran a once great company into the ground… and the board who sat by and allowed it happen. Ignorance and arrogance are a horrible combination…

Ooof. Not a good look. I wondered if this will affect stock price? Probably not, as it's water under the bridge. I also think the stock market understands that being a media company was Stephenson's dream, not Stankey's. Stankey has moved pretty quickly to disentangle the company from those deals, maybe too quickly.

I remember being shocked at his naivete walking into HBO and flatly stating that a creative enterprise making $2 billion on $8B of revenue wasn't enough. Profit margin on selling access to mostly paid-for plant or hardware made in China will never be the same as quality content. Moviemaking is hard, even if all you're doing are superhero retreads.

He is leaving behind his tenure as entertainment mogul and getting back to telecom basics, which he understands. Maybe. The "major announcement" floated to us that turned out to be another episode of hot seat created some doubt. Did anyone learn anything from it? What exactly was its "purpose?" If I think about it, I'm surprised the board hasn't moved to put someone else in charge by now.

Stankey and Randal lost millions of small shareholders hard earned dollars while lining their pockets.

This article is excellent, and should be required reading for all employees.

It’s great to see these leaders called out for their historic blunders, and maybe the worst execution of flawed strategy in corporate history…all while maintaining an elitist, exclusionary, know it all mentality. It’s truly remarkable.

No accountability, ZERO. ZIP. NADA. For 100 billion evaporating into thin air.

Just a few quotes to take to Stankey's next town hall:

".. for sheer strategic miscalculation and poor execution, AT&T’s management of Warner Media may have no rival in recent corporate history."

"Yet there has been no accountability on the part of the AT&T board or shareholders. Mr. Stankey remains chief executive and has been hailed for his bold decisions to unload DirectTV and Warner Media, even though he was in large part responsible for buying them."

“The level of malpractice is something I would never have believed possible,” he said of AT&T’s stewardship. “The value destruction has been monumental.”

spending is what got in this situation.50 trillion dollars in wars with the addition of 15 trillion dollars helping Ukraine with their war. All said and done we will have spent 100 trillion dollars on wars. This is the reason inflation is up and our kids and theirs kids kids will be paying for these damn wars.

How did Wall Street and others think this deal would turn out? I just read most of the article and it's very apparent Stankey is the biggest megalomaniac on the planet. No idea how the entertainment business or Hollywood works but still "knows it all" and starts telling entertainment executives with years of experience how to run things, how to make movies, etc. What a fu----g joke this guy is! What a fu----g joke his leadership team is! This guy just does not care how many lives he ruins with his horrible leadership! This guy deserves to be the worst CEO in America.
