Nice try. I noticed whenever layoff thread has more shares on social media we get more U.S. Bank shills and bootlickers. We all see what is going on

The fact that it's being suggested that either Kate requested people have her back and post something OR that she posted this stuff herself makes it extremely apparent that those people have no idea who Kate is. It's actually laughable.

Shut it Kate.

I’m fairly new to this page, but the comments about Kate W are extremely mean spirited. I guess it’s easy to be negative when you are anonymous.
Kate doesn’t need to pay people to say positive things about her (that anyone would suggest it shows how little you know about her).
She’s had to lead through some very tough situations but she has done so with compassion, empathy and transparency. She has high expectations and gives her teams the tools they need to meet those.
If she leaves the bank will be losing one of it’s smartest and best leaders.

Who is Kate Whittington paying to post all these glowing reviews? She is nothing but a corporate shill.

Holy heck Whittington, put down the booze and stop posting! No exec gets showered with praise at the level as she does in this thread. Put down the bottle and walk away from the keyboard.

Kate W. is for sure one of the smartest, most capable, logical people I've ever worked with. Agree that she's had to make hard decisions, which isn't the fun part of anyone's job- but she's done it with grace and compassion. Super sad to see her go- we're truly losing one of the best at the bank.

All this hate on Kate W. is weird. That woman is a very smart and caring person. Leaders are put in difficult positions to have to make choices and many wouldn’t want to be in the same position. I know she has high standards for work but is not unreasonable, AT ALL. I don’t want her to leave. The power struggle at the bank is not going to be fun and will likely lead to it losing and semblance of a culture it may have had left. Sad.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few months. It would be nice to get back to basics where people understand their roles and their jobs, cutting out the insane layer of middle management fat, reducing the chaos..

"I agree pronouns in someone's bio is a definite red flag that someone lacks critical thinking. That would be a good start to loose those people."

It's pretty ironic that someone who doesn't understand basic spelling and grammar is arguing for people who use pronouns being let go first. I know, words are hard and scary.

Don’t know where the hate is coming from for Whittington. I get Lacorraza; he’s a toady. But Kate has shown herself to be pragmatic, open to ideas and changing the way we do business. She’s been transparent and she seems to be able and to cut through the red tape.

Unfortunately, the culture and work environment at USB have suffered under the leadership of very smart but not compassionate individuals. GK has been surrounded by "yes" people, creating a situation too complex to easily fix. She faces a tough job ahead. While she is intelligent, she lacks the emotional competency needed to lead this bank effectively. It's disheartening to watch, as there are still good and competent people here, but their numbers are dwindling.

Ha! Not Whittington actively making her team defend on here while trying to figure out who wrote that comment so she can fire them.

I’ve been wondering for years how Gaston is still here. He can be so abusive and toxic. How he treats people and the things that he says. I was actually told by my manager that I had to change up my wardrobe to be more Hip because Gareth makes a judgement about you based on how your dressed and if that impression is not good, he will not give you the time of day.

It’s pretty easy to fix the bank. Fire anyone with pronouns in their bios.

Payments has been to the OCC/CFPB woodshed twice in the last 24 months following multi year investigations, with tens of millions in shareholder value and hard earned dollars paid out in fines and penalties to the federal government.

That would be a good place to start the housecleaning, cascading failures in leadership, understanding of the business lines, misplaced priorities and complete lack of focus on proper operation of those core businesses.

I’m hoping for a USB version of Jane Fraser’s “Operation Bora Bora”. Time to trim 🔪 the fat AKA management. Trim the expenses starting from the top.

The topic was supposedly succession planning but I would assume that there will be an executive shakeup. About time, USB has so many levels of management. They need to cut the dead weight of the more highly paid executurds. People are pulling in north of $200K and do not contribute 💩
