Biden to announce that all federal workers must be vaccinated, with no option for testing

" the President will take is signing an executive order requiring all federal workers be vaccinated against Covid-19, with no option of being regularly tested to opt out of the requirement, according to a source familiar with the plans.

The President will also sign an executive order directing the same standard be extended to employees of contractors who do business with the federal government. The Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, Indian Health Service and National Institutes of Health will also complete their previously announced vaccination requirements, which the White House estimates covers 2.5 million workers."

@1kfw+1cKuhNpe —- my job requirements DID CHANGE from when I was hired so this no different. I was forced to move to keep a job with the company in order to meet the rule of 75 and get my pension. Yes it was my choice to follow the work instead of leaving the company BUT THE COMPANY CHANGED THE RULES from when I joined. Had to leave the state I lived since being hired. So don’t say some of us have never been in a position to have to make a choice due to a change in job requirements.

Those that don’t want the shot can leave the business or get it to remain with T. The choice is theirs.

For those that say... It’s part of the JOB REQUIREMENT , do it or quit... blah blah.. the jab was not a part of the job requirement when we agreed to work here. Easy to type that on a forum but I'm certain that if push came to shove about requirements that were push on you at this point in your career, you'd feel the same way.

An unvaccinated man infected my uncle. The Unvaxxed man died and his wife died as well. My uncle was vaccinated and recovered in 4 days. So sad. The unvaccinated man was a beloved father and friend with a lot of life left. Just unnecessary.

White House has already confirmed the US Postal service will be exempt from the policy. They won't have to get the jab, because he's following the science. Letter carriers who literally go door to door delivering mail can't deliver a virus, but they can deliver ballots.

This is great news. Maybe this will get the 80M holdouts off their couch and to CVS or Walgreens to get the jabs. Btw….I am. Repub.

I'll set aside the legal aspects of this for now. But for you folks cheering Biden's announcement, consider a few things. If you know anything about supply chains they are extremely fragile. In a lot of cases the food on your shelf tonight arrived at the store this morning. Let's say 10% of the truckers get fired for not taking the jab. Now multiple that across the country with refineries, police, fireman, etc. We will see shortages everywhere of everything.

Remember too that Biden has just become openly hostile to a significant portion of the US population. When people lose everything they lose it and everything they do after this is without consequence. Society is still polite but don't let it fool you. Go ahead and cheer it on; tighten the screws some more. This could get really ugly really fast for everyone. I hope those of you that egged it on are getting what you want.

Those that don’t want to get the shot, don’t but stop complaining about what private companies can or cannot require of their workers. It’s part of the JOB REQUIREMENT just like dr-g tests. And please stay away from the hospital when you get Covid or one of the many variants. Doctors and nurses are tired and want to focus on people who need an ICU bed for something they could not control like a heart attack!

To correct you... with the "or undergo weekly testing".. now will ATT do that too? Because it's not an option today...

and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration will create a rule for private businesses with 100 or more employees to require their employees to be vaccinated or undergo weekly testing.

You forgot to mention all companies with more than 100 employees. I think Walk Away Joe just declared a surplus.

has anyone that has taken the vaccine realized that JUST MAYBE people are NOT anti vax, they just don't TRUST a completely new, never been tested on humans before 2020 rushed "solution" tht has no reversals for that choice! there is no antidote to the side effects! To compare older vaccines against the current JAB they are giving is comparing apples to oranges! vaccines of the past had a dead version of the virus to help build immunity with. THESE , HOWEVER, ARE with no virus at all and actually writing code onto your mRna! your genetic code is being altered and there are ALOT of people that don't want to be part of the long term results or rushing to allow such a thing to their bodies

another estimate said this would effect 100 million ppl... if it was REALLY 75 percent of the country jabbed, this would NOT be possible.

His math is on point.

25% of Americans are unvaccinated. That's a 1/4 of Americans who are unvaccinated.

So glad he said that, otherwise I'd have been none the wiser.

That's actually incorrect. I have waivers with the state I live in for both of my children that are in school. Can't use that argument. And this is for PRE COVID vaccinations that are on the market.

For them to FORCE this on so many, shows you the number whom they claim is jabbed is MUCH lower than they are posted! It wouldn't be this massive amount of extreme measures going on.

When government joins forces with private business against its citizens that is tyranny.
Good luck to all.
