Thread regarding Charles Schwab Corp. layoffs

Culture is dead.

Recent events have shown that the company's culture is far from ideal, and their actions have caused immense pain to employees through unjustified actions. As we gather here, bound together by our shared experiences and aspirations, I urge each of us to take a moment to reflect on the role we play in supporting an organization with such practices.

We all have the power to make a difference, both as consumers and employees. By supporting companies that prioritize ethical behavior, inclusivity, and employee well-being, we can foster a world where businesses are held accountable for their actions.

Let us come together as a community and engage in open dialogue about how we can advocate for positive change. Let's challenge ourselves to demand more from the companies we associate with and support those who prioritize their employees' welfare.

Remember, our voices have strength in numbers, and together, we can create a future where companies embrace empathy, fairness, and integrity. We owe it to ourselves and to the countless individuals affected by these decisions to be the catalysts for change.

Love that Walt doesn’t think that the culture has changed, and that everyone else is wrong. What a clueless dolt. I know you’re reading this Walt, so do us all a favor and resign.

@iem+1nJ3XFm9 “ Where did he say easy cuts? Making stuff up now?”

Ask the article author who’s making stuff up

“The Schwab CEO says the stubborn 'fog' is 'lifting' on 'Treasure Island' and reveals a chest of bullion in the form of rosy revenue prospects and some easy cuts to jack up margins”

Been with Schwab for a decade. Was never impressed with the culture in the first place, but I feel it got better and my team got closer through WFH. It’s definitely taken a nose dive over the last month. One of my teammates, the one I’d consider the rockstar of our team, has already left with no notice. I am both happy for them and jealous at the same time.

EC has lost all my respect and I’m not sure what they could do at this point to gain it back to be honest. Walt’s latest comments about “easy cuts” let me know I’ll I needed about the man’s character
