Anybody else have to do a conference call about backroom organization? I found it to be a waste of time! What a joke.

My club, our night shift doesn’t do claims, liquidation, research on shorts or overages, we have 1person on sat and Sunday, 2 on mon and Thursday and 3 tues Wednesday and Friday and still can barely keep up with the daily dock stuff let alone the claims area, and the conference call on Tuesdays is to basically to tell each club you need to move faster and to call you out on how far behind you are, and when you are capped out on pay, makes for bad morale, and we get dumped on constantly, especially when company is coming, take to back room, company looks at backroom just as much as the floor, very frustrating when backroom responsibility is laid on day shift only, we have to clean steel outside, outside the bays, we have a maintenance crew and they should be cleaning up outside, I’m thinking.
I don't think anyone at home office has ANY idea what goes on in the backroom. Scheduling is ridiculous....4pm appointments show up at 7am......it pretty much 1st come 1st served in my dump. Nothing better than walking into a jammed loading dock, 4 DC trucks and 9 appointments scheduled...
Oh and there are the 1 or 2 fresh trucks with undoubtedly overturned pallets.
Why should the backroom associates have to take care of even more? They are pretty low on the pay scale, yet are responsible for too much as it is. Truckloads, deliveries, RTVs, liquidation, returns, defects, recalls and more. Yea, ok.
@1lal+1hV9jnsK stop being a lazy pr--k. nobody wants to clean up after another person.
At our club we take care of our trash. The back room associates do not have time to clean up our trash. We throw away the trash, boxes in the box compacter and garbage in the trash compactor. We are called responsible.
The way I see it is that the Backroom Associates(BA) are the ones who normally put the pallets back into steel and ensure the chute to the compactor is clear. So I leave all my pallets and trash back in receiving so the BA has easy access and can keep everything neat and clean.
Plus I do not want that stuff cluttering up my salesfloor. 😅
The organization has to come from the merchandisers and everyone else who dumps on that area daily! Associates just throw cr-p everywhere instead of taking care of it and then Backroom is expected to keep it clean and organized. It’s a joke.
I dont know about a conference call but they were back plaing a furious game of pergola Jenga earlier today..
